Think its all up for debate depending on what you read :(. I paid the £50 extra to cover my sister who may find the helpline actually useful addition...

Neither had I with my current black macbook, as I purchased on HE. When I registered the serial no. It came up with the 3 year applecare agreement. Anyway It seem as if you need to contact apple anyway.

I ordered on the 18th April I believe, the Iceland Ash cloud messed things up so I would expect you to get yours a lot quicker.

A word of warning to the guys with a status of shipped but with far out estimated delivery dates.

It wasn't until late last night that my estimated date changed from the 5th May to today. So I would keep an eye on it just in case you miss your delivery. Lucky for me I was able to work from home today :)

Also I see a lot of questions with regards to the screen quality etc... Im really impressed with the High Res glossy on the 15". I think its the most impressive thing about the MAC. I'm comparing to a Dell 24w2009 btw. Pictures seem a lot truer to their real live colours, and the screen is very vibrant, I havent tried it outdoors yet though.

Initial Thoughts as a first time user:

I feel like a noob, its mainly silly things like CTRL C and CTRL V and not knowing the mac shortcuts, Im sure that will pass in a few days tho :)
Everything else is fantastic though

I just had a 15" i7 with Hi-Res Antiglare delivered. I was expecting one of the previous models (2.8Ghz C2D) and I'm not sure how I'll get on with the higher resolution, at least I can sell it on easily if things are too small.
