Who here lives with parents still (aged 21+)

22, and will be moving out either this September or next July time.

I honestly don't mind living at home at the moment. Having the spare cash is amazing plus, my parents house is pretty big and they only really live in one half of it so i get my own space. Tis a very nice arrangement at the moment.

Don't forget that in todays day and age, you have to be earning very good money to have your own house, renting is a waste of money and pointless imo, unless you are contracting in a different area and need to stay over night.

o/ :o i'm 24

Been saving as much as i can with the hope of getting my own place but i don't seem to be getting anywhere fast with my paltry wage :( :p

21 here, I originally started getting my It quals, getting an apprenteship and working myself to a full time job, but in the end it wasn't for me, and I decided to retrain in something else which has given me a bit more go in life, another 2 years most likely until I have a stable job (hopefully. :<)

23, moved to uni for 3 wonderful years but now moved back in whilst i try get out of my current crappy job *fingers crossed*.

bt then i will still have to save for deposit cause no way in this world am i lining someone elses pocket with rent, so im guessing probs 25 :D

Age 30 and go between my place and parents during the week, mainly as I have a company car and my dad and sister work at the company.

I'm 23 and my brother lives with me, Imoved out of my parent's place to help my brother out, and frankly it's been one of the worst years of my life, and as such, I refused to live with him again after our tenancy has expired, and am moving down to portsmouth to live with friends, close enough to visit every other weekend etc, but not too close that I have to deal with them constantly bugging me :p

27, broke up with missues whom i lived with for 2yrs, previously was in my own rented place since 19. Currently at home with parents until i can sort a down payment on my own place. Looking at a year to year and a half, 2 possibly. I'm an only child so its not so much bother.

Quite the responses and all quite postive about living at home, and quite a few comments i can relate to. I agree with not wanting to waste money in rent and rather save up for a good deposit on a mortgage etc:)

21 here and still at home, I pay my way no problems, my parents are happy to have me here.

moved out (for uni) at 18, moved 'away' at 21, married at 22, bought own house at 23

don't know what you slow-coaches are playing at tbh!!

I'm 23 and still live at home, I want to move in with my girlfriend as we've been together 4 years now and it's starting to suck not living with each other. Cheapest place to rent PCM is about £800 where we live, and to buy the cheapest is 220k+ so we can't afford to move out.

If we rented we would never be able to save the money to buy our own place eventually, and after renting I would hate having to move back into my parents to save enough money for a deposit.

20 and live at home, currently at uni (term time in a rented house with friends as I don't go to a London Uni) and don't graduate till next year. I suspect I'll save for three years after that to get a property and probably move out around 25.
