Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

just played it in my friends, i think neither guy or hakan will be my second favourite character as they have easy target combos

Hakan doesn't have ANY combos, right? I really struggle when i'm using him. I don't know what to do after a knockdown - it seems like the only options are 360+K, 360+p, or block? I don't see any point in him doing a jumpin-crossup since his only option after it is to grab (or oil slide without hit confirm)

This game is ****ing hard, I need to up my game and learn some proper stiff it seems. Christ I used to b so good at 3 as well,
is it me but since sf4 have they nerfed chunli more??

Online is a joke I think my record is 5/25.

Juri seems way overpowered, cammy is a ****-if someone picks her I literally don't bother playing and they get two easy perfects.

Cody is amazing, guy not so. Dudley is great sp but online he gets riped through.

And I agree on hakan he seemed so cool in training but they've given him some of the crapist move inputs ever meaning half the time your jumping up in the air like a spaz.
Anyway jumping on now to see if I can sort my play out.

Ah man, didn't realise you were a 360 player Arth :(
You should get a grown ups console so we can have more one sided sessions!! ;)

I wasn't, until last week :D
Didn't know which one to get, each with their pros and cons, but with my TE being the 360 version, it was an easy decision in the end.

I'll miss playing you PC SF4 players that don't have the 360 version :p

<---

well ive done 20-24 anyway

So you have done the last one, where the last 3 parts are...

hadoken > focus cancel > ultra

I am only trying this part and I can't do it quick enough, everytime I dash cancel out of the fireball and let the ultra off, he blocks it. My brain/hand can't think/react fast enough. :o

I'm struggling like a ***** on the MP->FADC->MP->FADC etc etc one.

I think Marge might have finished it.

That's the other one I am struggling like hell with. I thought it was impossible at first until I saw someone on youtube run through them all.

I think the SSF4 developers must have been watching vids of poongko and thought 'oh nice, if he can do that, so can everyone else in the new trials...':p

Marge, have you nailed em all?

Just had a group session with afew ocuk lot and glad to say I'm still currently undefeated :p the PC/360 lot would have torn me apart though. I think the endless battles are awesome but I agree, upto 2 and say 4-man maximum.

Edit: cav sorry I chose ryu vs you lol

Very low standards from the PS3 crowd then :p

To be honest, everyone on the PS3 who carried on playing after the awful championship patch moved over to PC. The PS3 players who didn't move over (myself, ojste, tony888 and many others) are shocking compared to what we used to be due to just giving up trying to get matches. Fortunately this seems much, much better than IV in terms of matchmaking (you no longer have to wait up to 5 mins only to be met with a terrible connection or, more often than not, a failed connection) so hopefully we'll get back up to scratch!

So yeah you're right, very low standards, but i blame capcom!

[EDIT] I'm struggling to find this so called 'decent anti-air' abel has apparently been given. His old stuff from IV still trades at best and the only move they hint at now being anti air is COD which can link to ultra, however if the opponent is attacking (as they always will be with a jump in) it trades and cannot be linked. Still feeling very vulnerable to jump-ins.

Most of them haven't played the game in months so they are all fresh ;) Plus I couldn't connect to ojste so haven't played him yet and cheekily chose Ryu vs Cav whereas everyone else got Dudley :p Also had a set of close games with Chris[BEANS] yesterday, a few Dudley mirror matches :D

I want to get a 360 badly though. Endless battle mode with you, Margaret, Artheas would be interesting... you would all get to witness me dominate the arena :p

BTW Kreeeee, have you done Ryu's trials? I am sure you were saying they have made the timing's more loose, so they are easier... they are certainly not!!!

Hehe I knew you would ;) At the time we were just about to head out to an Italian restaurant with the wife and mother in law nagging me to finish my game!

My play time over the last 5 months must amount to no more than a handful of hours if that, so I was actually pretty surprised at my performance was not as bad as I thought it was considering.

Gonna put in some hard hours and prove to you all that Guile is a force to be reckoned with once again ;)

i use him like a very slow version of chun li (with more pokes attempts and no cross ups), but with a insane range command throw (when oiled up) and more baiting. i usually oil up after knock down instead of trying anyway else, so i can score the next knock down easier. i think i am only using him because i saw daigo's success (his ultra 2 is immense), but i like him a lot as a funny character.

Yesterday there was a player playing against adz, who was playing Ibuki and made me thought HOLY ****. Was it you tony? If so I was impressed :D
(Unless its easy to combo with Ibuki in which case you suck :p)
