Since breaking up from a 3 year relationship with my girlfriend, I have lost complete interest in eating and my weight has gone down and my stomach has shrunk. This has been the first time this has ever happened to me and its slightly worrying.

Does anyone have any good ways to help stretch my stomach again?

I consciously try to keep my stomach as small as possible so a regular bowl of food will satisfy me. The solution is surely just eat until you feel uncomfortable, and your stomach will simply expand over time to compensate. I've found that it only takes a few days for my stomach to shrink or expand.

You need to make yourself eat. Easier said than done. I lost half a stone in 3 weeks through being unwell and being stressed at same time. I just forgot to eat and had no appetite. It's so important to fuel yourself. I actually got digestive issues on the back of this (constipation) through lack of eating and passing through "the usual" fibre/cereal etc. Write down a daily plan and make yourself eat even if you feel like you will be sick. You won't.

Just eat more. :o

I know the feeling, but after it wears off (it should be soon), just start eating again (make sure you do, because sometimes you get that weird feeling like you enjoy not eating and don't want to start).

just whip up some tacos - eat your fav foods, simple. It'll kick start you loving being single, live your life how you actually want to instead of trying to accomodate someone else into it.

This happened to me, I lost over 3 stone in 6 weeks. Unfortunately, I've gained it back over the years. Now I need to get hooked on a girl who'll crush me again, see if I can't get back to a waist size 30.

There is a show on Channel 4 at the moment (should be on 4OD) called Supersize vs Superskinny. Every week they get someone who doesn't eat enough and someone who eats far too much to swap diets. They also have a group of anorexics who they are trying to get to eat again. In the program there is loads of information and advice to help you to start eating again. I'd certainly recommend it.

Dont listen to all those saying man up in here. I know have trouble with eating can be a difficult and troubling time, especially when it comes as the result of a loss. The thing to be proud of yourself about is that you've come forward , admitted you're not eating enough and want to do something about it. Be wary of the internet though, I know of many websites which actually encourage eating disorders and self harm. :(

Good luck!

Can't recommend highly enough getting some good quality exercise. It will make you feel a little better for a short while at least and might make your body crave some energy.
