How do you envisage the results of general election effecting YOU ?

Expect the budget at work will change greatly depending on who is in power, i work at a council funded school, the budget pretty much rules how much we can do and how far we can take the IT in the school each year, at the moment we have enough to do the usual yearly expansion and repairs as well as the extra expansion into advancing teaching and learning through IT, if the budget lowers then that latter part will likely disapear.

Also as im expecting a baby in a few weeks (9 to be exact, though obviously it could be any time in the next 10 or so) i'm interested in school policies in a student sense as well as the budget sense, as well as how it'll effect me with my personal finances for the baby.

a lot to think about, but i think it's safe to say im dreading conservatives being in power

Probably not much depending on what happens in the next couple of days for me, either I'll be cut off from almost the entire UK tax/benefits system (private healthcare and an employer that pays all my tax so I pay a standard rate no matter what) or if I get into education again and don't have to worry about tax at all (but have to "worry" about the NHS). The only thing I don't want is an increase in VAT as that will sting me either way.

I would be out of a job if there a Hung Parailament or Labout get in. Either we work in drastically diffierent jobs or one of us is wrong, and i truely believe i'm not wrong

I work in temporally long hour jobs when I'm not studying so I can afford to eat (I don't get student grants because the student loan is assessment on my parents wage who I don't live with or receive money from).

If the torys get in, I feel that employers will be less likely to take on temps. The torys have always had something against industry in this country. :p

If Labour get in I'm ******
If LDems get in I'm ******
If Tories get in I'm "OKish" unless they go over the top with crazy hippy green stuff

If UKIP get in, tis all cool :D

Labours NI tax rise will kill that off for you, not the tories. The Tories have always been the ones for privite businesses. How can you not realise that?

Live in the States now so not at all, directly. Indirectly, I guess depends if any of the parties bring in silly environmental taxes to make flying more expensive, or anything that affects friends/family still in the UK.

Othing really, only thing is depending who gets in, affects what investment in rail ways, so may be a few extra jobs to apply for.
I think this election has very little to do with individuals, but is very important on the way the uk will be and be seen in the coming decades. Basically this is the ellection that will define the future and economy.

MUMPS is a DBMS used by Emis LV (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MUMPS)

I've done various bits of pieces and support for them over the years. Now currently working with the hosted systems so no longer customer facing any more.

Oh and Scoobydoo since you last mentioned where i work I did Engineer Support for a while, and have since met Cordell you asked about last time !

Unfortunately I'm not part of the middle class 'floating voter' demographic, so I'll just get to suck on it. I dare say whoever gets in will try to flog off Royal Mail once the new working practices are fully in place, and I'll just pay more tax, on everything. So much too look forward to.

Then again, once whoever gets in finally decides to tell us what they're going to to do with the economy, I'll just join the rioters and throw petrol bombs for living. :D
