What music player for Windows

Been using Winamp since version 1.4, tried loads of other players (even tried MusicMatch all those years ago!!), and as has been said above... 'Always come back to Winamp!'... Currently using the 'Pro' version (bought it Aaaages ago when it was $10) of the latest (v5.57 I think) with 'Big Bento'...

Why do people use iTunes 'Just for my iPod' and then Winamp or 'A N Other' player for music!!??... Winamp has a very good iPod plugin built into it!!.. or try the 'mlipod.dll' plugin for loads more controll!!... Less bloat and no 'Bonjour' process running in the background!!.. YES they both work with the iPhone and iPod Touch!!

I always go back to Winamp lite, I don't use playlists or the library, I just add a subfolder when I want it (I always listen to music one album at a time)

Winamp here too. I've tried many others but like the simplicity of being able to add in a few folders to the playlist and see them all lists in one list. None of this library shennanigans!

I used Winamp for quite a few years but switched to Foobar a couple of months ago and have never looked back. It can take a while to set it up how you want but once its done you can save your style to simply load again after a format or whatever.

This is how I have mine set up atm:

I love foobar. I spent about one weekend early last year making my layout below and as somebody mentioned above, you can then save it so it takes seconds to restore after a format etc. Once setup, it is an amazingly simple but powerful program.

Was wondering - here seems a reasonable place to ask..

Logitech squeezebox software - I'm sure I downloaded this one time, and it was basically a replica of the Squeezebox Touch, but done in software, to allow you to check it out before buying the hardware etc.... Nice and scrolly like ipod etc.

Was wondering if anybody has tried or had the thought to whack this on a small touchscreen laptop with USB dac, to get A) logitech touch functionality (ok screen mght not be quite as nice, B) full control over DAC choice/setup C)functional laptop, thereby allowing the use of inamp/foobar/whatever

thoughts?

(plus anyone got the link to that software? )

Is it just going to be you who deals with changing the music? If you want to get other people involved, you can do worse than iTunes. Everyone's used to it, and if somebody has an iPhone or iPod Touch you can use it as a remote and to queue up songs in DJ mode.
