That's pretty crappy.

Last time someone shouted at me from across the street, I called him over and asked if he was talking to me. He decided he was shouting at his mate instead.

Most people are all bark and no bite and I can almost guarantee you that the nob who hit you would not dare do it alone without his pseudo-courage bolstered by his pals.

Good job for keeping your cool, I doubt I would be able to given the same situation.

That reminds me of something that happened when I was visiting a mate in Stoke about 15 years ago.

Me and two others were walking up a street towards the town centre and a group of Asian lads, about 10-12 in all saw us and blocked our path as we approached. We didn't stop and kept talking and when they heard the north east accent they parted and let us through.

I never quite understood that as 12 on to 3 is stacked in their favour.

His race was the basis of the abuse, it was racist because of this. If this had happened in Jamaica today where white people are not the majority would it still not have been racist. I understand the point you are trying to make and I am not black "so how could I know" but the fact is the basis of his issue was the persons colour and had he been black I suspect it would not have been. The reality is scum is scum no matter what colour it is and to lower yourself to using someone's skin colour as the basis for abuse or differentiation is the act of a fool no matter what his skin colour.
 
Don't understand why you didn't call the police, seeing as the black guys would have waiting for their chicken bones, and the takeaway most likely has CCTV....

But yes, unfortunately this is fairly typical of many west indian youths - there is actually a reason they have such a bad stereotypical image!
 
Unfortunately 'racist' motives don't count when it's black on white.

If they were white and you were black then it would count.
 
Too much hassle going to the police. If anything did happen to him, id end up watching my back when i go around there next time. He would obviously tell his mates. I go around that area a lot both in the day and at night

I know if I dont say anything then it will continue to happen to others, maybe even me. Just seems like less danger by not saying anything
