Just ordered one at this price including delivery. I will also get cashback through quidco hopefully making it cheaper than £180 all in.

Is it a good deal?

Is there anything else you guys recommend like a decent case for it? I can see a few on some websites but i would like one that will last and look smart, so some reccomendations would be good.

I've already got seinheissers c300 something or other so doubt i will need some better earphones, as these sound good enough.

Thanks

yeah its a good deal i paid £115 for an 8gb 3rd gen :(

£5.25 quidco tracked so its gonna be less than £180 including delivery. I also ordered a switcheasy rebel touch which is designed for ipod touch 2g, but theres no difference between 2g and 3g touches in dimension so it should be fine.

theres a pic of the one i ordered, its made from thick rubber and also has a plastic spine firmly gripping it in place, it also comes with 2 screen protectors, cleaning cloth, wee thing to put the protector on smoothly (like a credit card), 2 types of stand and a jack all for £14 delivered which is a bargain for everything that you get and the case.

i might get a sock as well, just see how well it will fit with the case on it

Yeah that is a good deal indeed. I paid £234 for my 32GB iPod Touch 3g from the Birmingham Apple store.

I have 2 cases. The speck candyshell and the Switcheasy rebel touch. I recommend the Switcheasy as it fits better and you get tons of useful accessories with it.

yeah, well general consensus of youtube videos say the rebel touch is the one to go for.

i also decided to get some socks, for extra protection when being in my pocket, buttons on jeans like g star are stupidly placed meaning that it would be easy to scratch the screen through the protector whilst being in my pocket or moved in/out of pocket, so im sure the sock will be adequate at stopping that.

ipod socks 6 pack

original - £17 delivered
fake - £2.65 delivered

wasnt a hard choice to make i went for the fakes off ebay, 6 socks for less than 3 quid is a bargain, i cant believe apple want nearly £20 for them, thats more expensive than any of the socks i put on my feet.

touch off topic nut with quidco how long till you get money back ? i've had money in there for month or so and nothing back yet.

it depends what stage it is at.

some retailers take up to 3 months to pay quidco, then quidco take til the end of the month to pay you.

you also have to make sure you have set up your payment options correctly. i.e. make sure your bank details have been put in rather than your paypal details.

so it can take a maximum of say 4 months from when you bought the product until you get your cashback. i think this is another way quidco make money, they have everyones cashback (millions of pounds) sitting in their bank account until they get their interest paid, then they give it to you.

Good deal - got myn for £210 at xmas.
I've never really bothered with cases tbh. Not to bothered about getting back scratched and im careful enough to keep screen unscratched.

its just in case it accidentally falls, not to protect from scratches, its rubberised with a plastic spine to offer shock absorption, although the front is left open to damage, therefore i got a sock to help with that.
