LD, about time they got some real support

tory gov would be an overreaction, I dont belive in that "broken britain" crap they keep going on about

labour need some time off the front seat to get a reality check

If it is a hung parliment, is GB still the PM or what ? not really sure about this.

Think of me tomorrow. I am working in Loughbourgh. Doing the counting for BBC/Sky and ITV. Doing the results and phoning in throughout the day giving the unofficial results of how that area/constituency is doing.

As the official count of course is not revealed to around 10.30pm. This is being done all over the UK at all voting/polling booths/areas. This enables the news to be up to date with how the election is progressing.

DirtyDog, What a racist slant on a motivational speech.

For example would it be bad in America to encourage a black guy to succeed because one day they could even be president?

So, by your words, the lib dems stand for not being a racist.

Lib Dems here rather obviously.

I believe Technically yes, he will be offered the chance to form a Coalition first as he will be still the PM. But if the Lib Dems say no, then I think general talks happen and when two come to an agreement the chosen leader is PM.

But the Lib Dems have said if Labour come third on the popular vote they won't talk to them first. Second on the other hand, well that's another question.

I continue to be amazed at the level of support for the Lib Dems given their crazy defence policies :o

Conservative here.

All I said was it is a reminder of what they stand for, I didn't offer my views on whether it is good or bad.

But since you raise the subject, Simon Hughes is a traitor and should be tried for treason in my opinion.

I just think people should know what they are voting for :) Pro Muslims, amnesty for all illegal immigrants etc. This isn't a party which stands up for Britain and its people one iota.

Frankly, Defence is a pretty minor priority for me anyway, and I don't see anything remotely crazy about the Lib Dem policies - I think they have the best approach to defence. At least they're not planning on squandering money on a unneeded like-for-like Trident replacement in the middle of a deficit crisis. I really don't understand why even those who want to continue with our not-really-independent-anyway nuclear "deterent" think paying for a replacement now is a good idea when Trident can probably be kept running through to 2040, and at least 2030, anyway.

What happens if it's a hung parliament? Is there another election in 12 months or so?

If there's a Hung Parliament, Brown continues as PM while the parties negotiate. There could be another election if whoever emerges as the new PM thinks it's in their interest or if no credible government emerges (i.e. if there's a short lived Lib-Lab pact that promptly falls apart or Cameron fails to make any headway with a minority leadership).

The lack of them for example?

Actually the one i find most alraming is no nuclear power, LOL What a complete and utter fail.

Is there any reason the Lib-Dems couldn't form a coalition with the Conservatives? I was going to vote Lib-Dem, but if they are just going to ally with Labour then I won't bother.

I can't stand that smarmy **** Cameron, it's going to make me throw if I have to vote for them :(

What crazy defence policies?

I should imagine he's referring to cancelling the order for the remaining eurofighters, not replacing trident and kissing goodbye to the new carriers. All of which would have a significant impact on the role the U.K plays in the world, power projection capabilities and the defence of overseas territories (we simply couldn't re-take the falklands without a carrier group). A lib-dem government would also cast huge doubt on the Future Surface Combatant, no doubt with an emphasis on a defence model "for the 21st century" =/
