Should I buy a PS3?

Exactly how I see it :D for me my 360 is for gaming and my PS3 is my Media Centre and used mostly for streaming from my Buffalo NAS or Blu-Ray ... hardly ever use it for gaming other than an exclusive title like Unchartered or Heavy Rain etc ... 360 all the way for gaming.

Jesus christ that post is terrible, has the person ever even used a PS3? Two glaring innacuracies that can be seen from simply skim reading;

1. You can still use the controller while it charges and the cable is fairly long, you have to pay for an extra accessory to allow the same function on the 360.

2. Wireless slowing down the PS3 is a non-issue, I've had mine both wired and wireless and it makes absolutely no difference whatsoever.
 
Defo - PS3 is ace. Good games, nice media functionality, free online.

360 is ace too, some really really good games, and excellent social aspect over live. If you dont mind the feeling that anything past the bit you are holding could break at any given time. Defo the worst put together bit of consumer hardware I've ever used. Bar none.
 
I have both 360 and ps3 I use my 360 for multi formats and online games and ps3 for exclusives and media.

Now stop bitching copy what i do and everyones is happy.
 
I'd love to see a poll for the HD consoles, a) only the PS3 is king, 360 sucks, b) only 360 is king, PS3 sucks c) i'm intelligent enough to have/like both.
 
Everyone is different but I had the PS3 since day 1 and the 360 since summer of '08 and I prefer the PS3 and my gaming catalogue is far larger on the PS3.

You will have fun on either console, but since you specifically said PS3 I would say go for it, having a Blu-Ray player is great as well :D
 
Lets just say, you can't go wrong with either.

I had a 360. I bought it as at the time the PS3 was poor as far as games were concerned. I think the PS3 and 360 about even now as far as games go. Seen as most of the better 360 games come to PC I felt more and more like I didn't needed it so ended up selling my 360 and kept my PS3. Funny how things turned out. It wasn't what I expected would happen.
