Googled a solution, deleted the client registry.blob and all is fine now. Thanks anyway.

Still getting an error here

even after removing the clientregistry.blob file

says:

steam said:
Cannot contact the Steam network, please try later

edit: seems to have fixed itself now

I had a brief error the first time I tried to log on, then it started working. It seems like a problem at their end that will sort itself out.

Anybody have any clue what the **** has happened to Steam since the overhaul.

Its sodding atrocious.

Having a similar problem here.

I'm beginning to think this 'New L4D2 Mutation' every week is just a secret way for Valve to **** their customers off every week.

l4d2 and modern warfare 2 both not loading on mine giving me the installation errors. im raging beyond belief.

i noticed L4D2 downloaded new stuff today (probably the new mutation)
However, when i tried to check it out it came up with "incomplete installation (16)" message.

Thoughts?
