I'm pleased to say that our RAC just keeps on climbing, going past 434,000! Can we get to 450,000? We’re also rapidly closing in on The Planetary Society, who will be feeling the full force of the good ship Happy Stompah fairly shortly…

The milestones section seems to be strangely sparse, so if you've earned a tiffy during the week then please let me know and I'll add you.

Speaking of milestones, the top ten members in the Weekly Cobbly Dumpage list all got over 100,000 cobblies this week!

Lastly, a special mention to halz for the shiny new signatures he's been splashing all over the place. Thanks mate, much appreciated :)

As always, congrats to the tiffy winners! Don’t forget that you can get your tiffies from www.teamocuk.co.uk; simply click on your username, scroll to the bottom of the page and use the relevant urls to display them in all their Technicolor beauty on this forum!

thanks for the news. I will echo your thanks to halz also. Hopefully my output will rise as I have sorted my computer (and signature) problems out.

Cheers for the news TT and thanks to Halz for the spiffing new sig :D
I managed to get my rig up and running, but have major heat issues on the gpu (98C )with every wu producing an error.
So much for annual leave, spent the day at work trying to sort it out.
I have picked up some fans on the way home so will go back in tomorrow and have another go at sorting this out as I will be away for 2 weeks and I need it to be stable, cool and run itself until I get back
I have no idea how much a 295 can go through, so it will be nice to see my RAC climb up and I want to see 150K a week next to my name next week..

i cant believe this has come around again.. time is flying.
anybody got any ideas of how to stop my children flicking the power switch on the pc as soon as my back is turned? its really bugging me now! and stopping me crunching.

my GPU client hasn't been running the last three days! how do I restart that without restarting the PC?!

I don't think you've mentioned me for a while:

Thank you for the most excellent news Mr thetross.
I had a nice little milestone this week..

Cheers for the news T, more content each week

On the subject of sigs, some may be wondering why I have not offered one to them.
Dont read anything into that, its just that I'm not sure who wants one anyway.
If anyone does then I would be more than happy to do one, all you have to do is ask.

I managed to get my rig up and running, but have major heat issues on the gpu (98C )

I have 2 GTX 280's in one case and the temperature of the top one is unreal, cant leave my finger on it for more than 3 seconds
Even a strong fan at point blank range makes no difference - working fine though :)

Congrats to Loudbob, Kolala and Jonathan Jeffrey Davis for those moosive tiffykats :)

I have one gtx 280 in my computer. The computer desk is in a built in wardrobe that i normally shut the doors on at night. I fitted the 280 yesterday and i have just opened the wardrobe doors and the difference is temperature was huge, god knows what it would be like with 2 of these cards in!
On the subject of sigs do i spy the same pic in my sig and wayne/mymorpth just moved to the right slightly! ;)
If anyone would like their seti names to match their ocuk names this can be done by logging into your seti account, as i inadvertently found out...

I'm busted :o, got a little lazy as it was late at the time, if your very good I may make you a more unique one - watch this space.

Mr Halz sah, may I request a new sig. Your new ones are so much more stylish than my current one which I moved to when the forum sig police caught me using one that was 2px too high!

TIA

Should probably add - seti name is pnutty

Smart new siggy pnutty!!
Well any thoughts of a cracking output for today are seemingly been dashed by 1 rig.:(
It starts up boots into windows fine, boinc starts ok but then takes at least 15 minutes to connect. Once it has connected and i change the tab to say update it takes another 15 minutes to react. Not sure what the heck it is, cant be tinternet the other 2 are fine, after half hour or so it comes up "password you have entered is incorrect" then i have to power down and start all over again.
Before i nuke it which i dont really want to do but i have tried everything, if it lets me abort all the tasks will that release them so others get the work? I hope so would be a shame otherwise.:(:(

Others get the work anyway, all results have to be verified by more than one user.

Its the password thing thats odd.

Hmmmm i know and after 15 minutes too that message, ahh well looks like a few hours of button mashing format c etc etc etc.
I will try and resurface this evening, you have agood afternoon Mr Halz sah :)

I've only ever seen that message after using Reschedule so if thats trying to run that might be the cause.
As for the lag mine do that on occasions but more often that not sort themselves out after a while i've never worked out what the cause is.
