The truth? :p

Just tell them what you do for a living, hobbies etc. and ask them the same question back. If you like their profile throw in a quick innocent compliment.

Just be casual and "you" :)

You reckon he should mention he is a satanic cult leader when they ask that, or wait till later :D

Ive met about 10 girls from online dating in the last year, the ones i liked best were the two girls that didnt look anything special in their pictures, but when i met them, they were both gorgous. The ones that looked really good in their pictures always failed to deliver on the looks department when I met them in person.

For me it's ALL about the eyes man. There is a certain type of eyes I've seen THREE times in my life. Once with a (admittedly) larger girl I met at squash practice when I was living in Norway (nailed it), another time I saw the same eyes from a girl that works in a breakfast cafe (nailed it) somewhere in the south of England. Lastly, a female bus driver (told me to f-off :( ). I'll stop prattling on about eyes as it's weird. However, I'm convinced they're all from the same ancient tribe of sirens.

Anyway, I've learned ages ago that physicality only matters the first 10 minutes, after that it's either your personality that is going to hook me or it's a no-go. I can understand why girls lie about body size as most men would only look at T&A and barely read the profile.

Am I the only one choking on the irony of people being rude about girls who are not supermodel thin in an internet dating thread?

Come on guys...

Who said anything about stick thin? Thin women are as unattractive to me as large girls are.

We're talking about people lying about their size to mislead people.

Also watch out for the word 'bubbly' in their profile!

Of course there has to be attraction, that's how these things go, but some people do have really high standards and it is an online dating site after all. The stigma will always be there but I think I'm doing well so far, I've connected with a couple of girls and it's just a case of meeting them now.

Attraction yes, so anything above size 12 I'm not interested in. Personally, I don't find large girls attractive.

I'm not a fat slob who haz burgas and 50 bottles of coke beside his PC eaither.

Size 14/16 average in the UK? Geez I hope that isn't right.

Also watch out for the word 'bubbly' in their profile!

tbh if anyone messages someone with that kind of description then they 'ought to know what they are getting themselves into.

They are probably simiar in some respect too.

Yep size 14 (or 16) is the average UK dress size now... here's an article from 10 years ago(!), don't know how relevant that still is right now. i have noticed the shops are selling more and more size 14+ nowadays though.. either that or i'm getting smaller

i mentioned the word 'bubbly' in my profile... but i wrote "not overly loud or too 'bubbly' " to be exact :p

Watch out for the myspace angles. Nearly fell for that one before doing some facebook detective work. :o lol

You must be. I haven't seen anyone claiming they're only interested in thin girls.
