Feeling ripped off by Nintendo

you may want to read this thread from the beginning...

but once you've done that, and understand the profit levels involved in the Wii hardware, as an example, plus high prices for games that are so basic and backward they would look at home on a psx?

dsi launch price?!

its ridiculous at best.

I think you need to read the thread and see the people's cheeky smilies and "wink, winking" :p

Post that pic all you like fella i think the guy is a complete tool!

But im glad it entertained you enough.

Now enjoy all your VC titles ;)

I got a 2nd wii recently and had this issue. i cant say how but theres an easy fix

email it to [email protected] if you will.. Please. As much as i'm annoyed with Nintendo, i do like the fact they've given us old C64 & SNES classics.. It's just I'm not paying for them again.. PLUS my plethora of controllers just to play them is currently going to waste !

I think I paid £75 for an imported SF2, months before it was released in the UK. It was worth every penny - I simply couldn't believe Street Fighter was in my house. On my TV. I had Street Fighter in my bedroom!

Oh I remember that feeling. I paid £89 for mine:eek::eek: and as the cliché goes, that was a lot of money then.

To use your Wii you need.

Wii Remote
Wii Nunchuk which you get bundled in...

However to use it properly you need to add on top of that, a..........

MotionPlus
Classic Controller
Gamecube Controller.

I count 3 there... What about you?

There's about 3 games that require Motionplus, and some that can optionally use it. Most people won't need or use a Classic or Gamecube controller, and in any case the Gamecube controller can in most cases be used instead of a classic controller for the retro games.

Did you associate your original Wii with a Nintendo Club account?

If you did and you no longer own the original console I'd get on to Nintendo again to see if they can do anything about it. Write to their head office to express your disappointment at how a respectable company such as Nintendo could treat a customer like this. Nintendo customer service has always been fantastic when I've dealt with them so I'd be really surprised if they've wearn't more accommodating.

Just something that was posted in a thread here a few days ago that made me snigger. :)

In all seriousness though, all three consoles have their pros and cons and a lot of those pros and cons are subject to the persons individual tastes. People could argue that the Wii has better games than the PS3 because they're a fan of Mario, or PS3 fans could say that the PS3 has better games purely because they like Metal Gear and Killzone. The point is that all 3 consoles have their strengths and all 3 of them can be enjoyed, one doesn't have to be better than the other, they are all co-existing at the moment anyway so just pick them all up if you can and enjoy them all. On the subject of peripherals, all three have stupid extras that you really need to buy to get the most out of the console but that's just part of owning a console in this generation unfortunately, you can't expect the manufacturers to give you every peripheral you'll ever need right in the box.[/QUOTE]

Yeah but what do you know about anything? You only have like 4 games. :p

I can't remember the exact price but did anyone buy Virtua Racing for the Megadrive? I hear that was insanely expensive. One off technology was used in that cartridge which was never used in any other Megadrive game so I hear.

I have a Copy of it with the case but no manual. :( I think it was £89 it said on the case. I didn't pay that I picked it second hand a while back.

Mine works properly with the Wii-Mote and Nunchuck (came with the console) and i class that as 1 remote??

How the hell did you guys get it so cheap mine was £129.99  I'm calling them now and going to request that I be refund that money.

It was a local shop called Console Concepts. It shut down once console games appeared all over the high-street. Actually, I might have made a mistake:p It was Street Fighter 2 - Turbo Hyper Fighting that cost £89. I only remember now because I sold quite a few games, including SF2, to pay for it. They had Mario All-stars in at the same price.
