i just found out something quite funny about hakan. he can move about while charging his focus when oiled up! i am so going to be relying on that to bait people

Anyone got any tips on how to stop button bashing? As much as I try I can't seem to stop myself from hitting punch 3 or 4 times during a dragon punch or super :P

Training mode. As much as it sounds like I'm coming across as a jackass, practicing your execution does actually indeed help loads.

lol - just played chris_beans, and while he warned me that he was learning Deejay and therefore sucked, I failed to warn him that I sucked more.

Sorry bud, I can play this game, but I did especially suck tonight. still very much learning Makoto and have not had much time lately due to the birth of my daughter.

I am soooo gonna be out in the first round of the up comming tourny :p

just played a few games against the cpu m. bison to test a few moves against him and his double knee press. i must say i find the buttons on the stick too sensitive, as random moves and taunts come out all the time...

i still find this move too safe against chun li and hakan, especially now psycho crusher has improved as well, so i have more to worry about. it beat all my moves unless is thrown too far, which nobody apart from the cpu would do that. and there is absolutely nothing i could do to stop his loops, apart from jumping upwards so he would miss sometimes and i can punish with j.hk (whick hits both ways) c.mk ex legs ultra. but the main probably is his j. mp*2 seems to beat all my jumping attack, including the throw and double hp. and someone enlighten me on what to do against him?

btw his new ultra seems almost unblock-able as he can both land behind and in front of me every time. the most annoying thing is if he does that on a missed link (so basically if someone mashes it during a block string), he punishes straight away. have lost so many matches because this move just comes out randomly and hits me while i was still doing something.

i still couldnt believe i got punched out of t.hawk's ultra twice against Margaret last night.

Is it worth getting a Fightstick? Does it make much of a difference?

If you plan on really getting into the game then yes, it adds to the fun factor and really helps you at the high end of the game. With that said it's a difficult learning process at first, but it's best to just get one and learn on it as opposed to learn the basics on a pad, then move over to a stick; you end up back on square one.

Have some of this Adz -

Do you hit buttons by accident? Where do you rest your hands/fingers? I rest my palm below the 6 buttons, with my first 3 fingers barely touching the 3 punch buttons. most of my hand weight is on my palm, so there's no accidental button presses.

Bison is tough, esp when he has you in the corner. Stuff his lk.knee press with standing lp. crouching lp works too when close. after you've counter hit him a few times, no doubt some standing MK/HK will come from Bison. Best way to deal with those, that i've found, is to focus absorb and dash cancel in to attack.
The standing LP might work against Sagat's close tiger knees too (it does for sure when using Ryu. I only tried methods against Bison.

As for the new Ultra, yea it's awesome. Just jump to avoid, then punish.
