I have to say I much prefer hardcore mode now. Especially coupled with the hit box fix to make the game think it has a 40ms ping (Which it does, despite it
being adamant its over 100). People go down so quick. Makes getting a high k/d much easier.

Indeed, though the 2 i saw yesterday were both Engineers. It was amazing the way he'd RPG in 1 direction then turn 90 degrees and blow my head off with the PP2000 in an instant. Maybe he'd already platted the other classes.

Basically you just add the following two lines to settings.ini and gamesettings.ini

SettingsManager.floatSet GSDefaultLatencyCompensation 0.0450000
SettingsManager.U32Set GSInterpolationTime 45

Because BC2 tries to compensate for lag by moving the hitboxes for your opposition around and currently the games method of identifying your ping is rubbish (My scoreboard says 150ms on multiplay.co.uk servers - when it clearly isn't) that's why people have such a hard time killing people.

The above forces the game to think you have a 45ms ping (I set mine to 40) and hence the hitboxes are no longer in gay places. Since adding this to my ini files I've noticed a HUGE jump in my hit reg.
 
just been playing for a few hours and quit due to a cheat, he had 67 kills to 5 deaths with an AUG gun, he just pointed in your general direction and your dead

You know those kind of scores aren't impossible to achieve without cheating. I get scores like that often. He was either a terrible hacker or he could have just been a good player.
