Age of Conan - Are you giving it a 2nd try?

Re-subbed to Conan... but it keeps corrupting all the patches and re-downloading them. So, for the last 12 or so hours my sub has been running but I've not actually been able to play... grr!

Its bin a bit rocky these past few days it seems. Blame the expansion

It took me 3 days to get it downloaded because of downtime.

If you were an Eve Online player, this is where the devs would say, "We advise you to set a long skill training......" Basically they expect the servers to be unreliable and glitchy in the first few days post patch deployment.

Oh Yes

People dont realise that Patches/Expansions can cause problems for a while till it gets all smoothed out.

Managed to get in finally - but now having terrible performance issues. usually I get 30+ FPS, now its down to 4. Anyone else had performance issues since Godslayer?

Is the unlimited trial still going? Downloaded it in january and i thought it went back to just 14days after that?

Performance issues have made it unplayable for me, and tech support said they have 'no fix' - so i'm asking funcom to refund me my months subscription. Or alternatively, actually fix the issue. My bet is they do neither. So, I can only advise everyone avoids this game if you value customer support, tech support and for a game to, you know, work.

Fairly sure, I signed up for it myself a few weeks ago so that I could judge whether it was worth giving it another go.

Why do performance issues have to be down to the game? Granted this game doesn't have a good track record but recommending people avoid it on your say so when it could be down to driver issues on your machine, etc is a little silly. Post more detail on what your performance issues are and people can then make a better judgement or may even be able to help.

The new areas do run poor but perfectly playable for me, you gotta realise that even an i7,5970 system isn't gonna be able to play this maxxed out with constantly high fps.

Which server? Fury?

Any suggestions on classes? had a quick read through the AoC forum, may try a Bear Shamen, but then it's a trail, so maybe I'll try em all

Because it's poorly programmed. Have they finally got around adding DX10 to it yet? I played it on release and it was awful, perhaps one of the worst MMO's I've played in years. The only other one that came close was Anarchy Online when that was released.

No way in hell would I pay for the expansion. It's too late in the day to fix something that has been fundemently broken since the beginning.

DX10 been out a while, most if not all bugs fixed. 4 of the guys in tfu have started playng it and are loving it!
