Not too noisy, preferably black and enough room to fit a 4870x2 with an Accelero XTREME 4870X2 cooler on it - around 12 inches i think?

Can anyone help, i've spent days trying to decide and am going quite mad :(

Cheers

I can comment that the CM-690 II Adv. is a very good case. There are a lot of reports saying the stock cooling is poor, and I can say that it sort of is but it has so much space to improve with new fans. With stock fans in the case, with a megahalems heatsink and one apache black fan on the heatsink, my CPU temps are 32-34'c idle. Thats overclocked from 2.4ghz to 3.2ghz too.

I love the CM-690 II Adv!

Budget around £100 i guess, although would consider spending more.
I just want a really good case that will last a long time. Keep everything cool and is reasonably quiet.

Ive spent quite some time looking at both the Coolermaster CM-690 and CM-690 II Advanced Dominator Cases and like them both, as well as the Lancool Dragon-Lord PC-K58 - Just seen the interior of the K62 suggested  Im not a big fan of red :p

One of the reviewers says that the 5970 does not fit in the CM-690 II, but does in the 690. Is that right?

you sure the inside is red, and its not just the glow from the red LED fans?

and what ever fits the 690 will fit the mkII version.

The silverstone ft02 offers some of the best air cooling you can get with it's inverted mobo design working with natural thermal movement. Good looking case as well.

I'm really impressed with my new Lian Li P50. Coming from an Antec Sonata III, the Lian Li is more spacious to work in, much better cooling, very quiet fans and by far the easiest installation I have ever done. Oh and its about 3 times lighter than the Antec. The hard drive bay is removable so you pretty much have unlimited space for your graphics card.

Coolermaster CM-690 II review (2nd down):

The only problem I could find is that it wouldn't fit a Radeon HD 5970, whereas the CM690 first edition would. Kind of a step back. Other than that though, awesome case!

there are other lancool K62 versions, I actually only linked to that because it was a similar price and instock.

Thanks for your replies,

I've looking at some reviews, like the Coolermaster ATCS 840, which i think is just a bit tall, although actually looks smaller than my first pc which for some bizarre reason came in a server case

I really like the layout of the Silverstone Fortress FT02B and the way the air is sucked from bottom to top, kind of make more sense to do it that way, but although i have looked at it several times over the last week, the £180 price tag has been putting me off.

Saying that, im really rather tempted to buy it anyway. Its about the same size as my Sonata apart from being 15cm deeper, but as the psu/graphics card plugs come out of the top, leaving just cables coming out of the back i should be able to push it closer to the wall so not to stick out too far.

Mmmm £180 :( I dunno

I've read that the Silverstone doesnt support EATX, but to be quite honest this is the first time i've ever heard of EATX

So the board is slightly longer? Whats it good for, extra slots or something?

HAF has probley the best cooling out of them, hence its name. Also the most ugly
