Isn't the whole thing about mentioning the iphone/blackberry to excuse any dips in quality? And you can send your thanks for ubiquitous referrals of an 'iphone', as opposed to 'phone', to Apple's marketing department.

Nice one on the vids, some good clips there.

iPhones only exist so you can easily discover who the pretentious bellends in society are. It's similar to how the BNP is only allowed to exist so we can keep tabs on right-wing fascists.

So do most phones, but most people without an Iphone won't put "Check out the pics from my Nokia 6500 Classic" or something, let's be honest ;)

No, because most would put "Taken with my phone" rather than bother to type it out. The reason it happens with the iPhone is because it's easy to type and adds clarity to the reason why the pictures are rubbish. :o

Plus, I would bet that if it was taken with an android phone there wouldn't be a problem. Just a hunch. ;)

Rubbish. It's subconscious boasting, nothing more. All phone cameras are crap, you need not make the excuse when you post a photo so blatantly taken on a phone. Unless of course it's an Iphone* ;)

Think what you like. I've just found myself posting "Taken from an iPhone" before with no intention to "big myself up" or similar. It's just a way of letting people know quickly and easily why the quality is so poor.

Still, OcUK Motors - guilty until proven innocent? ;)
 
Agreed, I wasn't aiming to boast about a phone...(should I even mention the ipad I have on my desk?!), the quality of my photos are poor and "off my iphone" is the only defence I have against the waves of photographers...you just can't win!

Anyway, the point is that I took the time and efforts to spread the motoring love to you guys, that is all :)

David Yu should get some sort of award for R35 pimpage, I don't know how he finds the time but Nissan GB should get his name on the top of the list for the R36 and save their forecasted £9.26 PR budget for 2013.

I'm not sure if you mean the hype on the GT-R or on David's car, if it's the latter, it's still under 600bhp and all-in-all, mildly but sensibly modded. Much quicker and hairier GT-Rs in the UK but it's nice to see one holding its own with that bunch. Of course, it's boring and unusable in the UK and pretty much drives itself but every car has it's little faults. You'd probably be better off looking at maybe a stripped 2CV with a Honda lump for fun and purity.


OK, massive over-reaction to everything all done now.

I don't think it's intentional, just clever marketing by Apple so that the owners often say iphone instead of phone as they're similar words.

All other phones have model names often with numbers and such like which you won't say subconsciously instead of just 'phone'.

I do find it slightly amusing when iphone owners single themselves out like that though. :p
