Any Car Body Experts Here ???

If you look at the pic of the pole , there is a plastic yellow highway sign which amazingly survived (police said they fold over in an accident then pop up), i went over that first then hit the pole. After i stopped i tried to stear the car off the busy road but only got as far as the kerb in the pic. The two are not related.

Still doesn't explain why you swerved into oncoming traffic?

This is what I just can't understand.

If the oncoming vehicle was overtaking someone else then the OP would have crashed into the person being overtaken due to the manoeuvre that has been said.

There was none at the time (luckily). Loads of traffic after the accident as u can imagine.

So why was the other car on the wrong side of the road?

What made you turn that way and not left into the verge though. Or better, brake hard and let the chav do the crashing.

Hang on, what was he overtaking if there was no traffic?

The OcUK detectives (tm) havent finished with you yet !

What was the chav overtaking then?

Anyway, if that isn't written off you will be extremely lucky. Oh and expect a bill for replacement of that pole.

*edit* damn and blast too slow!

I dont consider a single tractor oncoming "traffic". He did witness it yes , also the guy that said the car would never be the same - i was only going about 30mph , are you saying even if i get it all fixed it will be dodgy ?

Thanks

How is another vehicle on the road not traffic?

It'll only never be the same if it's fixed badly. To you it'll never seem the same as you'll know it's been in a crash etc.

I certainly wouldn't fancy driving it, and I doubt it'll feel the same. Even a car that's been broken into never quite feels the same again.
