Travellers to be searched for pr0n.

Didn't something like this come up before when a guy refused to give the password for his encrypted drive as it contained sensitive information ?

Now why would someone want to take p0rn on holiday with them...i thought the whole point about going on holiday was to sample the local market??????

Some people are married but have to travel on business and would rather not bring home a nasty surprise for the misses.

Some of us would like to stay married and the state of hotel VoD prawn is usually very poor :p.

Some of use have fading memories so past encounters may not suffice ;).

Hang on minute , a spokeswoman for the Austrailian sex industry said ?

So have Aussie customs actually said anything to confirm this ??

In soviet russia we search what we like comrade ;):D

Another thing, why on earth does it really matter if someone has porn on their laptop or not? It's not as if they can't just download it again once they're in the country...

I can just see a load of customs officials lined up, open laptop, types into windows search 'porn', no results found. Thank you sir, sorry for the inconvenience.

What exactly stops them from searching for or stumbling across other private data on your laptop, non porn related?

I give it 6 months before we see the first person arrested and cavity searched for storing a pendrive of pr0n where the sun doesn't shine. :)

And know I am not due to travel in 6 months time ;)

I wouldnt worry.. everyone in the duty free shops were warning us about how we wouldnt get anything into australia, but in reality there was hardly anybody checking anything when i landed.
