The Tiguan has arrived

The suggestion of a range rover sport is laughable, that would be £1,300 in just car tax now add on insurance and maintenance and tyres etc.

Kugo lease for 170 quid, maybe if you plan on a mileage of 5k pa?

It was silly of me to suggest the JLR car scheme I know, just shows what a park it is to the managers/tech leads I guess. £250 covers all those bits.

Dont be silly annual mileage of 5k? You wouldn't reach that you get a new car every 6month :p

You could get a Golf 2.0TDI GT with 18" Alloys and the convenience pack for £290 a month (2+23) on a lease.

In fact, you've done something very similar, haven't you jamief ;).

Why the lack of a new car thread? You've kept the new car that you got (in April iirc) very quiet. Would be interested to hear all about it :).

The scheme is actually profitable for the companies involved, and as far as I know BMW and VW do the same.

Car tax? The vehicle is effectively 'sold' to the employee. No 'Company Car' tax here.

And regards to rental? No, the vehicle is in the employee's name, the employee can buy the car, at about 50% off list.

I dont work for them.... well not yet anyway.

My boss has two cars, a Focus and Kuga, less than £300 a month for both  New one every 5k or 6months.

I genuinely would probably take 2 range rover sports if i could get hold of them for £250pm, one for me one for my partner. Just wow :D

Ive only just started back at JLR. But speaking to a colleague I knew before he has a new car, a Focus TDCi.

Bit of a no brainer as his Dad specced it up at £21k retail price car on the schenme on the scheme, 6 months later Tim has just bought it off his dad for £10.5k!

That's not a lease that's rental.

Errr a lease is a rental :p

Please inform me where I can acquire these vehicles at these prices.

You cant, his point was not 'You should have done XYZ' his point was 'Wow, thats an expensive company lease scheme, my company does them for ABC'.

That said Williams BMW were knocking out £70,000 635d M Sport's for £499 a month last month :p

Either you are very confused or I am very confused.

Sounds like a scam in the making there if you played your cards right, what an awesome scheme :D

Is it a car ownership scheme, my company operates one of those, im sure its a tax fiddle

People have missed something. This Tiguan costs £26k

It looks nothing more than a slightly better ford fusion *cough* fiesta-stilts *cough*

Now either:

A: Insert generic comment 'Screw the haters as long as you enjoy it who cares if it costs this much'
B: Lol face egg on fail pie.
;)

Hopefully if it's a scheme through an employer the £440 is a salary sacrifice so only actually costing about £300 in take home pay, still not amazing but that wouldn't be so bad.

I have indeed :)

Well I didn't do a new car thread for my CTR either so at least I'm being consistent! And I know how these threads generally "go down" in motors, so I'll just keep schtum :D
