When Islam wants to kill anyone from within its own culture who shows signs of free choice, modernisation, intelligence, and progress, you can pretty much tell how incredibly unlikely it is going to be for their countries to ever change or modernise.
All I got when leaving my religion (hinduism) was my crazy fundamentalist nutjob mother screaming words for 'blasphemor / disbeliever', and absolute disgust that I were abonding her incredibly backward religious 'way of life' to become a 'white' person because apparantly all people from our race must follow her religion, just because she says so or they are traitors.
Then a couple of weeks later she got over it. No death threats, no violence, completely forgotten and ignored. Crazy bigoted woman she is, but at least not a violent one.
I wanted to tell her that I'm converting to Islam and that all Polytheists like her should die for the lulz, but I can imagine her ending up in a mental ward over that, so I wont. It works to simply just mention how yummy beef is, and that killing cows for food is a good and nice thing everytime she gets annoying. Actually buying some beef and putting it in her fridge would probably also end up with her in the nuthouse, which I've thought about as being funny to do, but I wouldnt.
Yes, I'm that evil. But she genuinely believes that some magical 'babas' in India can heal blind people, cure cancer, and make people in wheelchairs walk again ...... Kind of like no wonder why I ended up so anti religion and couldnt believe a word of it.
