Gulf Oil Spill ( LIVE FEED )

Does anyone else think this disaster is only just beginning? They seem to have completely run out of ideas about how to stop the leak. There was some suggestion that they would drill another well and remove the oil that way, but that would be months off. I think this is far from over unfortunately.
 
Totally agree there big white, They cant actually stop it or have a quick idea to stop it so as you said they either need to drill and extract it or its just going to keep going till it runs out
 
It's a Puddle compared to say teh Exxon spill or other Big spills, Media hype & summit for Ohbama to shout about, We need Deep oil rigs if you want to maintain your life styles.
 
It did have a shut off valve but it's that what has blown.

The way out of this is to sink a New hole next to it to relieve the pressure, they'll do it once they have tried the other ways.
in future they should only sink holes in tandom & run two maybe three rigs so the pressure is not all through one main pipe.
What do I know anyway. :p
 
Am I being silly, but why cant they just cover it with something like a block of conrete or metal or whatever?
 
That's what they've been trying to do with a massive metal cone, then a smaller one.
I don't think anybody appreciates what they are trying to do though. :p
They are lowering a massive metal cone a mile & a half down to the sea where the pressure is phenominal using remote cameras/robots to line it up in Pitch black oil coloured sea with untold oil spurting out.
It would be easier to land a mini cooper on the moon. :p
 
You want to set a Nuke off on the sea bed along the West coast of America. :eek: + :p:p:p
 
I was thinking about a certain fault line rather than the pressure that would be let off.
