Red Dead Redemption Thread

I've got into this now, the singleplayer story has picked up abit and I've discovered aload of the other activities to do.
The only bug that I've come across so far is seeing the guy that I just killed in a duel standing in the sky. Unless that is supposed to be simulating heaven? :p
 
I've only come accross one duel so far, a shame as they seem quite interesting, hope that I'm going to run into some more soon!
 
Tried the DMZ but that didnt work either, tried turning off the firewall (upnp is on) and made no difference, weird problem:

1. My mate starts a multiplayer game (any)

2. My other mate (call him mate number 2) joins

3. I join, mate number 2 gets kicked

4. Mate number 2 rejoins, I get kicked due to connection issues blah blah

...makes no sense at all,, must be the servers as we had a nice 4 player squad deathmatch session in BFBC2 right after for about 4 hours with not one problem.

Awesome game though, so addictive!

farms, houses and bandit hideouts (tho i just got the warning i was close to it) is what ive found. When you buy the map for that region it names all the official places. Landscape is kinda empty though. Random encounter missions tend to repeat themselves :(
 
Its a really good game but I cant see where some of the highest review scores came from. I still think Eurogamer got this one spot on, I really do like it a lot but I dont think the tidal wave of hype whipped up by some of the reviews has done the game any favours.
 
I tried mp last night, was rubbish got dumped miles from anyone else in free roam, should I have chose a different game mode?

I am loving it so far but the fact the random blue dots all appear to be very similar is a little annoying.
 
Just a quick warning. Was out hunting deer which is so far my favourite activity :D and had a slight misshap. Was a group of 5 deer which I was watching, they didnt seem overly bothered by my presence. Then all of a sudden they bolted for what I thought was no reason. I took aim only to be removed from my horse and killed by a wild cat :D

Only had one bug so far, riding back to the ranch at the start of the game and noticed some boxes hovering at head height in the middle of the road. Shame the horse/wagon behind didn't as the driver was ejected when he crashed into them.
 
Have the LE edition but when i goto change outfit the Deadly Assasin outfit isnt wareable says i have to search for it just have a basic coyboy outfit

afaik It just makes the outfit searchable. Don't think it's available for people without the LE edition, so you get the list and the option to find all the stuff for it whereas the people without LE don't get that option. That's the point of it I thought. Although if it only gives you more Dead Eye then it's not really essential anyway.
 
They surely have to do a patch to make skinning skippable because

a) you can get attacked whilst doing it.

b) This is the Animal Skinning Game...i guarantee you will be spending a ****load of time doing it... ENJOY! hehe :D

Also how large are some of dem gangs.... one mission i took out a hideout and spent a while looking around. If you wait you get seemingly infinite respawning gang members/enemies always coming at you. I guess until you run outta bullets? (usually 2 at a time)

You are supposed to get out of dodge when you catch your bounty.
