What a fantastic game! :D

I can't believe it's a 2007 game, IMO it graphically superior in comparison to Forza 2. The gameplay is also better.

I picked it out of a bargain bin for £5 brand new in a local store last week and it's been in my 360 drive since, now that's cheap entertainment!

I've not tried out the multiplayer section yet so I don't know what sort of community there is these days, but I love the single player portion and it brings back fond memories of MSR on Dreamcast.

Anyone still have this in their collection? Maybe we should sort of a few online matches in the near future...

I got this a month ago when I purchased my newer 360. Only £7. Never played it before although I had the previous incarnations which were very good. I found it fun to play, however, since getting Forza 3 its sort off been shoved under the 360 game collection I have. I will deffinately get it out at some point as its fun to get as many Kudos with outrageous drifting and long time Air.

If you're on it a lot you might catch me playing it at some time.

...
So a late 2007 game with next to no physics model has a more appealing graphics engine than a mid 2007 with the most realistic physics engine on the Xbox until Race Pro? Huge achievement? :D

Project Gotham is reasonable fun but nowhere near as deep as Forza and without any kind of experience beyond driving, that said, last time I went on PGR3 there were still people pootling about on there (a few months ago), so I wouldn't be surprised if there are people on PGR4 now.

It's a shame you have to play it off the disc to avoid the sound errors, but at least that does the trick unlike with FM3. That aside it also has a lot of content not in Forza so well worth a fiver imo especially if you have the MS wheel.

Ahh so thats why my sound sounded crackley (sp). Might have to uninstall it and see.

I didn't know that either!

I do find the sound anomalies annoying, but only seems to happen with a select number of cars.

lolwut 2007?! Where has all that time gone. :o
PGR4 is still one of my favourite games on the Xbox 360.

I really like PGR4, I have it and have played it recently. Think the online scene is pretty poor now :(

Yeah I remember buying one of the DLC packs which added the tourist mode to multiplayer (I think?) and nobody was playing it which was a shame really!

PGR2 was the best Project Gotham game by far. PGR3 and 4 were ok but nowhere near as good as Forza 2 or 3.

Uninstalled the game from my hard drive earlier and gave it another go. Must say it's much better sound wise!

Just means I now have to turn the volume up more to cancel out the whirling disc drive...

2 and 4 were the best. It's such a shame there will never be another (proper) one, it just never shifted the numbers it deserved to. Imagine a TDU style game, but with PGR handling and game modes, would've been amazing.... for me and the other 5 people that loved the game that much ;)

i still have a blast on 4 every now and again, love the caterham.

one game that hasnt aged at all and one of the best on 360 still today.

yeha, I enjoy sticking PGR4 in the xbox now and then. For me it's a lot more 'fun' than FM2 or FM3.

Online racing, there are a enough people around to get 5 or 6 cars and bikes on the track at a time, so it's not completely dead.

its daddy ....metropolis street racer .. was the best .. and still hasnt been beaten .. and i like the music better as well :D
