I just tried that ADW.Launcher, while I like the Froyo look (and can't wait for Froyo ), it's just horrendously slow Surely nobody will use it!

I'm using ADW.Launcher 0.7x with CM V5.0.7 on my Magic and don't find it slow at all. Fast and responsive for me.

How do I get google navigation on my phone? As far as I was aware it's packaged with the lastest goole maps so I downloaded it but can't seem to find out how to get the navigation working?

What phone and Android version are you using? It only works for 1.6+

It's a HTC Hero. I just had a quick look and it's runnin 1.5 so I guess this is why I can't get it to work.

Am I able to get 1.6 from somewhere?

Not officially no, Hero still runs 1.5. There are some custom ROMs with 2.1 etc, but none of them are 100% and I found them slower than the standard HTC ROM.

There is an update scheduled though, expect to see it sometime in June.

Is there an email widget that I can load with LauncherPro? There's nothing listed in the widget menu for it

I didn't like 'weather widgets' as tapping the clock opened weather instead of the clock app. I'm using 'fancy widgets' instead although it doesn't rotate with the home screen nicely (a feature I turned off anyways) I like it!

You can change the tap on clock action within weather widgets

I guess I never found that setting, I may give weather widgets a second chance then Still I think fancy widgets rips off the sense clock more accurately, and I like the weather panel that opens without taking you away from the home screen!

It's a shame there aren't more options that don't rip off the Sense style clock tbh. I quite like the Digital Clock Widget (which itself is an iPhone rip-off ), but no weather.

just bought an app for the first time and everything downloaded and installed fine, try to buy and download another and ive have it a problem, payed for it fine but says " Authentication Error" "Google talk failed to login. If this is a google Apps account confirm that chat service is enabled for this account. anyone help?

Is there an app which shows which apps are downloading stuff? For last couple of days I've waking up to see over 20mb worth of data already downloaded in the morning and today netcounter is reporting over 100bm downloaded over 3g at the moment and I just dont know which apps are doing this

Just trying out astroplayer, seems like a good music player to me! None of the others (tune wiki, or the one that comes with the desire) seem to find my podcasts


edit: Cant get astro player working with scrobbling though

Have you tried 'Listen' for podcasts?

I highly recommend the app lock, stop your friends from reading all your texts, emails etc . You can lock anything. Very handy.

Also the launcher pro, by far the best launcher, so fast and smooth.
