About a year and a half ago, perhaps longer, I managed to get a Gigabyte GA-73PVM-S2, Q6600, heatsink and fan and 2GB DDR2 for £92.

It was listed as faulty, but the seller didn't know which component was at fault. I thought it was unlikely to be the CPU so bought it. Turns out everything worked fine - great as it went into my downstairs media PC and was the perfect match! :)

i7 920 Retail boxed for £49.99 :D

It had fallen off the shelf and the box had split. Sold on for a tidy £120 profit :p

I bought one of the OcUK Shuttle builds at Christmas time, and opted for the graphics card upgrade, which was meant to be a Geforce 9800. The machine arrived next day with an ATI HD4850 card, which is slightly better than the 9800.

In terms of longevity, I bought a Soundblaster Live! in 1999 and it was going strong 11 years later. I recently sold it though as part of a full system.
