Seeing as you can get a much more capable netbook for much less than the price of an entry level ipad, that supports flash out of the box, and multitasking.
Netbook's are the worst invention since the dawn of the computer.
Utterly, utterly pointless devices. As heavy and difficult to carry around as my MacBook Pro and much less useful with shocking battery life to boot.
Used a few, hated them all. They are designed to do one thing and thats surf the web, hence
Netbook. The iPad was designed to do the same thing, and it does it better.
Flash doesn't matter, I can count on one hand the things I use that require flash and even then I just get my laptop out.
Point is devices are aimed at points in the market and at users needs.
The iPad does surfing the web, watching a video (I'd get one for use in the gym!) and whatever else better than other devices out there
at the moment.
Personally I can see uses for it, I can see me having one, just at the moment cost/benefit is too low for me to warrant spending on it.
People seem to think that people buying Mac/Windows/Whatever are immediately fan boys, or have more money than sense or some stupid things is ridiculous.
Buy what you want when you want IMO.
