Favourite pizza takeaway?

I have never heard nor tried Papa Johns, i find Pizza Hut and Dominos to be over priced and never that enjoyable.
I like a local one near me or my local Italian place.
Im not adverse to a pizza time pizza from Tescos and i love some of the Chicago Town ones.
 
Much prefer the Chicago Town Edge to Edge Miami Meat Feast....

£2.50 from a supermarket OR (at Morrisons just now) 2 for 1 :D

Papa Johns is by far the best pizza in take away pizzas. I think it beats Pizza Express too for the texture of the dough and the taste of the crust. Its just gorgeous. The PJs near me closed a few years ago, I heard they are expanding so hopefully it will come around here again. I used to love it so much..

Perfect Pizza tastes nothing like PJs its disgusting puke worthy crap at least where I live in Manchester.
 
1st place is my local Italian Take-Away, beats the pants off any of the pizza chains and cheaper.

2nd place Asda create your own.

I would normally agree with you, but my local one got taken over by a bunch of indians and now every freaking flavour is spicy, had a running arguement with them the other day, they where claiming it was the same, but they all blow my mouth off now.

mine is changing from Indian to English :o atleast the delivery people are lol

went into pizza hut a few weeks ago - got a small pizza - was a thin base one - just doesn't have anything to the taste of papa johns in my opinion
All the meats + coke = yumm
 
Local place round the corner. May look like a filthy dodgy kebab shop from the outside, but they do a good pizza. 18" Margherita for £9 :D

Dominoes is to pizza what McDonalds is to burgers. Not the real thing, but you buy it anyway 'cus that's what you want :p

Agreed, all the big 3 are terrible here where in comes to delivery, always arrive luke warm yet they are 2-5miles away..., local shop tastes better and as its a 10 min walk if that i can get any pizza half price before 8pm = 12" pepperoni for £3 :) bargain
 
I think the quality varies a bit from store to store anyway, I never used to like Dominos when I lived in Salisbury, but here it is fine. They are about 1.5 miles away by road I guess and it's always piping hot on delivery. One of these days I ought to tip them rather than being a cheapskate and paying by CC online...
 
We have no national chains near here so Morrison's "The Best" do for me. Otherwise, a local shop in Sheffield is the best pizza I've ever tasted. Damn. It's got my mouth watering just thinking about it. I live 70 miles from Sheffield now. :(
 
Dominoes custom pizza - Thin base, BBQ sauce base, low-fat cheese, sausage, ham, chicken and mushrooms.

Win.
 
The local Dominoes here makes really nice pizza, must be different to other areas as I see people talking about them being crap all the time. I only ever get them when its 2 for 1 though, not worth the full price imo.
 
What annoys me about Dominos is the inflexible delivery areas, the one that delivers to me is crap but another which is damn good (and less than 2 miles away) won't deliver because they'd be intruding on the other stores' delivery area. :mad:

That said, the double decadence base is top notch, its a bit like marmite though it seems. Some can't stand it at all, others love it.
 
Eww, I don't get how any one can buy pizzas from Dominos and Papa Jonh's.

The local Pizza places in my area beat them by a large amount, my favourite is "Hot 'n' Tender" they make good pizzas and are pretty cheap. £4 for a 10" Pizza with 2 toppings, a fries and a can of drink. Great value to me.
