Behind you... Naked!
Ok, before you have a go...

I just got one of these cards and I only want to play about... Im not taking it serious or anything, and I have knocked upa PC especially just to fiddle with it, so please dont suggest getting a better card because I have many other PCs that are very capable of PhysX... I just want to play about , and so ...

I have put in into a PC alongside a pair of 7800GTX Cards in SLI, ( Running Windows XP ) and the PC found teh card, instantly, told me it was an Ageia PhysX card and then a few seconds later the card disappeared.... I thought at first that it had installed the drivers, but PhysX software is telling me, that I have no hardware PhysX capabilities

I am using the absolute latest nVidia drivers, v197.45 and also the Ageia PhysX System software v8.09.04

Ok, so, I did notice, that when I had v174 of the nVidia Drivers, PhysX was not truly enabled, and when I put v191 on it was..
I am told that these ageia cards are actually disabled in later drivers ad this must be what has happened to mine, so... what version drivers will actually allow me to run this card?

Like I said, I only want to play thats all...

Many thanks.

In the notes on the Nvidia PhysX driver page it says this:

"AGEIA PhysX processors users should use and install an older PhysX system software such as version 8.09.04. Note – AGEIA PPU acceleration support for 2.8.1 SDK or earlier, and Windows Vista and Windows XP only."

Yes, I have those too sorry.

It still does not seem to show up as any device I can use... I still get the "No PhysX Hardware Found" Message, and so I am slowly going through various versions of the nVIDIA Detonators for around teh time the PhysX Card came out, and since I dont have a clue, Im kind of in the dark.

have you tried the beta 256 drivers because the screen to select physx has changed from a radio button to actual determining which device to use ? just a thought.
