The EA week on Steam

lol yet again steam deal prices fail. Crysis has been available for 7 quid elsewhere for months now - 3 quid cheaper than the 10 quid deal steam is offering.

I bet every other game in the deals this week can be found cheaper elsewhere already. I don't know why people rush off to get their cards when steam do deals because 90% of the time the game has been available for less than the deal price for months already at another retailer.

Yeah but you don't have to faff about with discs. I'd gladly pay a Steam premium so things don't get lost, scratched, etc.

The way I see box/discs/steam, is you're simply paying more for less (no hard copy) tbh.

And after the deals end the steam prices go back up to double if not more than the competing retailer has been selling at for months,

Hmmm good point. Seen Crysis Max edition for £9.98 as ripped from the place selling it -

"Contains Crysis, Crysis: Warhead, and Crysis Wars. Crysis is a sci-fi first-person shooter from the award-winning developer Crytek, the developers of the critically acclaimed Far Cry. Earth, 2019: A colossal asteroid crashes down to Earth. The North Korean Government quickly seals off the island chain, claiming the mysteries of the asteroid for themselves. The United States responds by dispatching an elite team of Delta Force Operators to recon the situation and report back to the Pentagon"

Hmmm I thought last weeks deals were fine, Batman Arkham was the GOTY edition and mean it was about the same price as online stores, but this Crysis deal isn't up to much...

Rules are rules and they are for everyone. EA can afford it but some sites may not, having rules for for some sites would make them ambiguous and thus useless.
