I get it on displayport with my passive vga adaptor too. Nothing to do with BFBC2 of course.

I've been told the 10.5 cats are meant to be better for this problem but I'm not holding my breath...

Good to know, as my next route was to try a £20 DP -> VGA adapter but i guess that's not worth it. Got the flickering on 10.4 and 10.5, cant remember about 10.3 but dont think so. Think it could be a problem with the gfx card?

Poochie might not be but I will be, could do with racking up a 4k score this time with you piloting the choppa - you left last night when I was just getting warmed up in the gunning seat! :D

p.s. and your underhand chopper stealing and destroying antics had me laughing for quite a while, well done. :)
 
Logged onto the BDS earlier (first time in a few days) and it was really laggy. I mean the screen would randomly freeze for anywhere from 3 - 15 secs then return. Tried reconnecting a few times and even rebooted but still bad. Jumped on a few other servers and had no issues.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE say this is something that can be fixed as this is by far my most favourite server.
 
Me neither, I was concerned that it may be my PC but as I said I played other servers with no issues at all.

Ill give it another go in a bit, hopefully its just one of those gremlin things that passes.
 
Why doesn't the Battlefield 1943 song come on when you're raping in a tank/choppa :( Would love nothing more than music to play in perfect sync like a movie.

One can only dream.

How frequently do you get it? I tend to not have the problem for days and then suddenly I'll have the screen flicker or go black (and only come back on by plugging+unplugging the adaptor) several times on the same day. I've also noticed that the flickering sometimes becomes worse when my mobile phone gets near the adaptor.

I personally reckon that it's the adaptor being cack. It seems like these adaptors (both VGA and DVI) are extremely hit and miss :/

Most days it happens after prolonged use and sometimes it works to unplug and plug in again. Will try putting my phone next to it to see if it increases occurrences. Would RMA it but bet they wouldnt use it long enogh to notice the fault...Will write to sapphire when i get the time as it's a sapphire 5870 and adaptor.
 
I hate this game I've decided. I am on Rank 5 and officialy crap. I just loaded it up, played for 30 mins, never hit anyone and died 100 times. I ******* hate this game, is there anyway I can get my rank up I am trying to kill people with bloody pipe cleaners!

keep at it. when u start unlocking stuff u should start to see a improvement.

hmm, when i started playing this a found it quite easy, now i have unlocked everything and am level 27 it seems to have gotten a lot harder for me for some unknown reason :mad:

Follow a medic. grab his kit when he dies... start dropping med packs and defibbing everywhere. Easy level ups.
