**** Original Starcraft 2 Thread ****

Have not pre-ordered but will probably purchase soon after release.

Can definately see Activisions influence on pricing though I think the Jersey site has the standard edition at £32 which is £3-5 more than a usual AAA title.

Would like to hear people justify buying the collectors edition :D

£70 lol

and you get. [Drumroll]

# The Art of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, a 176-page book featuring artwork from the game
# An exclusive 2GB USB flash drive replica of Jim Raynor's dog tag, which comes preloaded with the original StarCraft and the StarCraft: Brood War expansion set
# A behind-the-scenes DVD
# The official StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty soundtrack CD
# StarCraft comic book issue #0,
# A World of Warcraft mini Thor in-game pet
# Exclusive Battle.net downloadable content, including special portraits for your Battle.net profile, decals to customize your units in-game, and a visually unique version of the terran Thor unit

Probably costs about £10 for that so they make a massive profit margin

I've preordered the normal version. battle.net is in a terrible terrible state right now, but I have a glimmer of hope that Blizzard will fix the problems the community have been shouting about for months once the game comes out. The gameplay itself is extremely good so I'm preordering it on that basis, but I would really like for Blizzard to fix the obvious b.net 0.2 flaws.

want to preorder/buy the regular version but it seems that almost every place has the price at £35

the game should be no more that 29.99 like most pc games and considering its only part 1 of 3

no doubt activision scum is responsible

i never pre-order games, i just go to the shop on the day and buy it, lol. cant trust people to deliver these days!

Same, but they won't be getting more than £20 out of me if it's only for a third of a game.

If I can't find it for that I won't be buying it. Activision can go do one.
