worst phone you ever used?

What used to be a UK
I'll start with the HTC Hero. Sluggish and upon losing a signal would not pick it back up. On trying to re-register it would say "your sim does not authorise the use of this network" despite it being valid. nice sense UI but suffered these faults for nine-months. Worst phone I have ever had for signal loss and quality-as i went from an Iphone to it and then on to a blackberry that beats it hands down on all of the mentioned problems above.

Wait is this the "worst phone" or the "phone with the most faults" thread? Because it sounds like you had a faulty phone.

Worst phone I ever had was when I sent my G1 to T-Mobile to see if they could fix the problem with it, they gave me a Motorola C139, terrible keypad, terrible screen, terrible ringtones, terrible looks, it was just bad to the bone..

Quite a few spring to mind:

SE satio - why, why why why did SE release this phone in the state it was in? It was slow, buggy, the UI was ridiculously backward (they somehow managed to ruin symbian OS even more) and it was way too expensive. Sure it had a nice camera, but other than that it was just horrid to use.

SE C905 - much the same with the satio except this seems to have developed more problems later in life as I keep having people come back into the store with them to send them off for repair with the same issues over and over.

Any samsung touch screen with a resistive screen - they're horrible to use. Often ending up with you selecting the wrong thing and the tocco and tocco lite have that stupid side bar thing which when you try and select something, just ends up with you dragging loads of crap onto your home screen. Thankfully with the wave/monte/galaxy they use capacitive screens now which are much easier to use.

LG shine - stupid scroll bar thing that liked to stop working randomly and ended up with you selecting the option above or below what you wanted when you click down as it would move when you did.

T-mobile pulse mini - it was good on paper with android 2.1, a 3.2mp camera and being at £99 on prepay; in reality the screen is hideously pixelated, it's unbelievably slow and the camera is just awful. The screen is also too small for anyone with normal sized fingers to use the keyboard on. Bring back the normal pulse plz :(

It's quite handy working in a mobile phone shop :p

Btw, skyfall, yes we hate the loan phones too, they're changing them for nokia 6303's in the future thank god!

Not had too many but the lg viewty was a total crock...

Also my original n95, it just never worked properly and always freezing.

iPhone 3GS

/dons flameproof jacket :p

Edit: That isn't the worst by the way, just the most disappointing.

I guess of the "good" phones I've had the Hero was a bit of a let down over time. Its a decent phone but for one its camera is absolutely woeful, beyond dire. It was let down by its support too :(

Its not really bad though.

NEC E606, one of first 3G phones released, battery life was that bad they supplied it with 2 batteries, both of which could be used in a day!

Oddly enough, I still have it somewhere!

Yeah one of the LG touchscreens, the viewty probably - it just kinda wasn't very good at anything, and didn't even have any prospects of getting better like say, the 5800XM - with its various firmware updates and Nokia Messaging etc it becomes a very capable smartphone but the viewty just...sucks.

True, although those 2003 phones were apparently way ahead of the time, as front-facing cameras are revolutionary and game-changing in the mind of Apple :p

SE T68i .... small and plasticy ... horrible little phone.

Orange SPV 600 ? ... old work phone, not particularly stable, nasty to use and riddled with software issues (e.g. I could mute on a call but I then couldn't un-mute!)

viewty was oh so poor- the screen is terrible.

I gave it to my girlfriend and bought a nokia 2303 to use... it was that ****e

T68i was shocking as was my K850 (I swore that would be my last SE phone) but I hate my Hero so much.

I can't put it into words without getting angry, so slow, so terribly slow, if i go somewhere with bad reception for more than a few minutes it forgets it is on orange and brings the select network option, until i press my network i miss calls and texts.

Camera is a joke, i've not had a decent picture out of it and quite often loses the pictures i do try and take. It's not uncommon for calls to drop and have to reboot 2-3 times a day because some part of the phone has force closed.

The only thing that might save it from being sold is the 2.1 update when it eventually gets here. And no, I refuse to muck around with my phone with custom roms, i don't have time for it, i just need it to work.

I've gone off Sony Ericsson and HTC (because of the problems we have with devices we use at work). Not loving android, not mature enough yet, so I may move over to the dark side next time :/
