Hello,

I finished this watch minutes before heading off on holiday so took a few snaps while away. This is the first time I have done my own lume work on the dial. The logo is a waterslide decal applied to the base layer of the dial. 3 colours of luminous material.

for the watch geeks standard automatic ETA 2824-2, 42mm, sapphire crystal, display back, lume tech lume

Hope you guys like it, I had fun with this one and I'm enjoying wearing it.

Cheers

Always fascinated with your work skidder :D

Just out of interest do you ever sell your watches (and if so how much?) or is it just a personal hobby? Looks awesome by the way :p

Thank you. It's a hobby but I have had people show some interest and have taken on a couple of projects for other people. I just did a commission for a friend (for her husband's birthday) - completed this morning, will add some pics when taken. Very different watch - dressy and formal. As it is a good friend just charging for parts (which were about £160 or so).

I do have some ideas that might see my hobby turn into a sideline but I already have a business to run and time is always ticking by. :)

Nice work. How hard is it to do something like this? I'm guessing it requires a lot of skill.

casing a watch isn't hard - quite a lot of research initially to understand all the parts and what needs to fit with what. After that steady hands and clenched buttocks;)

Along the same lines of what aaron said, you should sell them. You appear to be quite talented. :)

Thanks

Are there many parts available for encasing in a smaller ladies watch? Could this be your next challenge? ;)

there are loads of very nice new old stock ladies cases available - most enthusiasts tend to be men and therefore nice ladies cases are easy to come by - in addition watch sizes have gone through the roof so what was a man's size just a few years ago could work

This was a man's case from the 50s but by today's standards it's a bit on the small side (although doesn't bother me, as I have a beard to prove I'm all man;)). I got the new old stock case and made a dial for it - ideal size for a girl about town:
