Krypton Package Arrived :)

Bah i have a silly BTX case which inverts the whole board. Just hope the Cables on ony Psu reach the corner to power the 8 pin connector for the cpu:rolleyes:

Spent the entire weekend fitting it and once i put everything together it powers on for a couple of secs before powering off. Eventually troubleshot it to be something with the mobo. Going to have to make a phone call now.:mad:
 
Finally got my pc together and up it's up and running. Excellent Service from OCUK who sorted it out super fast :)

Couple of noob queries - I see in the BIOS cpu is running 4Ghz but in windows seem to be showing default speed 2.8ghz. That Windows not reading right or some power saving feature?

Also using CPUz, it only allows me to select one core? How to see the others? :confused:

I think i was being daft - there only 1 processor right? As the cores dont count ?

EDIT - thanks for the link right click on the core and you can switch between the quad. All cores showing only 2.2ghz or there about :confused:

the picture on that link above shows the number of threads the cpu has in the bottom right corner, should say cores=2 threads=4
 
You guys were spot on. The cores ramped up in core speed as soon as load came into it. Pretty smart feature. Thanks for your help. :)
