They all do, but it can't rinse away massive chunks of potato or encrusted rice.

Mine certainly copes with things like rice and noodles, I just empty the filter afterwards.

Never seen the point, just soak and then wash, simple. Less power and cost.

absolutely pointless rinsing, if you do that you might as well wash the plate. the filter is easy to clean if needed. but as long as you scrape left over food into the bin. You don't even need to do that.

This is prolly a bit nasty, but i always let my dog lick em clean before putting them in the dishwasher

scrape off larger bits but the rest gets shoved in, we tend to fill the dishwasher up during the week and put it on once full, never had a problem so far, although we've only been in the house 5 weeks!

Don't rinse!!!!! The detergent is designed to attack the surface grime. If there is no grime then it attacks the glaze on your plates and makes them fade...

You could rinse the plates manually, or you could just use the dishwashers in-built rinse function....

I don't think you needed the exclamation mark there, a semi-colon to indicate that the sentences were linked would have done fine or just avoid the tautology completely of saying Dundonian and wasters.

What's with the "pancake" response which is available in most polls, nowadays? Is it just mods embracing a stupid fad which isn't funny?

It's just the equivalent of "don't care" as far as I'm aware.
