Just wondering how many other companies are letting their employees get out of work this afternoon to watch the England game?

We were told yesterday that we can go down to the pub to watch (And this is a big corporate company) just as long as we don't drink too much, and that we come back after its finished (Which I will not be, as I finish at 4:30 anyway)

I will watch the first half at work (if the network doesn't die, we have over 1000 computers on the network, a lot of them will be trying to stream the game at the same time) and then will try and escape work early at half time

My employers said everyone can have and early start / early finish

doesn't affect me though as I will be working through the night

My everso kind employer just decided to dump more work on me with unrealistic deadlines knowing full well that it'll prevent me watching the match, he however will be at home watching it.

I'd rather work.

Also:

Osama Bin Laden has appeared in his latest video claiming the England football team are crap.

British intelligence said this doesn't prove he's still alive. The video could have been made anytime in past 40 yrs.

The country can't afford to let people watch football. ;)

With a three o'clock kick-off lots of places will let people watch.

We're allowed to watch it in the office, we have various TV's dotted about the place but I'll probably end up watching it on tvcatchup at my desk.

Boss is bringing beer's in as well :D

was at work till gone 8 last night running coaxial cables and installing TV's round the office.

As a sales office most staff have been offered the chance to go home at 2 if they hit targets.

I'll be in my office with my own TV and beer.

Working in IT has to have it benefits :)

edit, don't plan to use iplayer. you'll be lucky to get a connection. more likely you'll get the dreaded 'we are experiencing high levels of traffic at the moment.....'

My company has set up large projector screen and is providing beer and something called "soft" drinks.

My office is closing at 2.59 so people can watch / go home or whatever!

We have skyHD at work! lush!

Not bad for an insurance company!

Took the day off though!!
