updated a small amount but far from finished as you can see lol , first is the wiring after the tidy up and second is the top of the case before the final layer of paint but it needs some 1200 grit wet and dry first

You should cover up the DVD drive aswell, similar to the old blanking plate mod. :P

I've done it on my Antec 300, makes a huge difference to the look of it.

no longer interested tbh , will just finish it and carry on . found that if your name fits here you will do well but if not there is no point in posting anything

cool project

what material have you used for the front blanking plate?

will you be spraying it or having it powdercoated?

how are you finding the Venom cooler? i have only tested it on intel chips so far, is it working well for you on AMD?

not sure what it is lol , it says foamalux on it and is 8mm thick and i will be spraying it .
as for the cooler it seems good and the max temp in prime95 is 52c full load with a room temp of 22c , thing is if i keep the side off my case the cpu temp is lower but the board temp is higher .
keep the side of the case on and the board temp is lower but the cpu temp goes up 3c which seems odd to me lol

had a lot of problems painting the front of this case , using plasti-kote and had to re-prime is after sanding and the primer reacted with the gloss paint i was using (both by plasti-kote) . had to sand it down to the plastic again and re-prime it for a third time , will post pics soon

A couple of people have had problems painting on plastic recently. I know that ReeVooDoo's Skeleton mod had problems. Perhaps drop him (or G-Dubs) a line to see what they used. The paint finish that G-Dubs has achieved on his Skeleton is excellent, and ReeVooDoo seems to have sorted his now. I hope you win at the next attempt.

P.S. Don't worry about people not posting on your thread. As you have seen from the view count, lots of people will look to see what you are doing, but may have nothing to offer in the way of advice. That certainly doesn't stop people taking inspiration from your efforts, and your project may prod some people into doing something similar themselves. The main thing is that you are enjoying it, and, if you can give some ideas to others it's merely a bonus.

thx for the info , i will have a read of that thread

still having problems with the primer , no matter what i try it still reacts when i apply the second coat of primer from the same can . not even touched it and i am ready for scraping this case

That seems odd to me, in that I can understand the primer reacting with the plastic, but if it's only reacting with the second coat I'm at a bit of a loss.

Have you asked G-Dubs if he uses any particular primer/paints, and have you tried any different manufacturers yourself?
