*** The all new iPhone 4 thread - Keep all iPhone 4 stuff in here ***

I can't see how they can eliminate this antenna problem without a redesign (aside from using a case which is a kludge, not a fix). It has to be caused by the conductivity of your skin bridging the two antennas, something you can't fix without a redesign.

I'm quite glad mine won't be delivered until 12th July now, not only is that closer to when my contract is up but Apple will hopefully have sorted out this antenna nonsense.

I'm quite glad mine won't be delivered until 15th July now :D

steve jobs antena is your fantastic engeneering, i hope it is this phones last super engeneering detail :D

I'm a bit glad I didn't rush to pick one up now. Which is weird as my 3G is slowly giving up the ghost.

I sense 4.0.1 coming before the weekend. That'll probably just patch the signal strength display, instead of totally fixing it.

Ive still got 'No service' after switching from o2 to Voda, and get the 'waiting for activation, this may take some time' message.

Is this normal? Ive had the phone since about 8:30am and its been connected to itunes since about 10am. is this one of those 'may take up to 24hrs' things?

No. It usually takes seconds in iTunes.

The activation will happen on your handset after it's been configured with iTunes. I'd give it a reboot.

You wasted it not them :p

True I've spent most of my time on here today :p

nice still waiting here :( come on ups move your arse

Apparently they deliver up until 9pm and in some cases up til 10pm during busy periods. I googled their usual delivery times while i was bored of waiting aha plus someone on here mentioned they deliver up until 9 as well.

now your going to waster another 11 hours marvelling at it :p

haha enjoy

Cheers mate :p

I heard that one of the chief designers of the Apple iPhone 4 antenna got married recently. The service was great but the reception was terrible. :D
