Atleast some people are being semi-decent about it and changing their name when running zombie servers so you know its modded before it launches...

Really hate it when people are running hacked servers with silly mavity, etc. tho.

Just played this earlier for the first time in ages, i noticed Rroff, the fps never goes above 97, (msi afterburner osd), im running sli gtx 275's at stock, i7 920 at 4ghz, game is set on highest settings, v-sync disabled, curious as bfbc2 displays higher, cod mw2 does run very well though at 1920x1200.

Ahh, never knew that, thanks for the clarification. Actually enjoyed it more the other night, stopped playing it for ages as i got into bfbc2 a bit more. Such a pity that there are no dedicated servers for mw2 though, i hink it would have made it so much better.

The core of the game is actually very good IMO its just spoilt by the cheating and bad implementation of the gamemodes/hosting.

With dedicated servers and the options to supress certain killstreak rewards/perks in certain game types (i.e. no GL/RPG or reduced explosive damage in demolition type modes) it would be very enjoyable.

Agree about the perks, and the hosting. I found myself going back to cod4, always to certain servers that i had played before, where a lot of the silly perks werent present.

I like some of the perks for certain gametypes i.e. groundwar works well with AC130, turrets and so on but other gametypes it just completely ruins it.

Yeah - didn't think much of them at first - but I like overgrown from COD4 and wanted to check out bailout - but they've grown on me quite fun to play tho I still think the storm map and salvage still lack focus a bit.

Im considering wether to get them or not, originally got mw2 via steam, ive preordered moh 2010 from ea, played the beta today, not that impressed tbh, might cancel the preorder and get the map pack for mw2 instead. I know that the moh beta is a bit early but it played pretty **** on my setup, only one gpu was being utilised, funny thing as well, on 75% fan speed in bfbc2, my 2 cards only hit 67-68c, on the moh beta at the same fan speed my single gtx 275 was hitting 76c.

With SLI tho often both GPUs aren't 100% utilised - typically somewhere around 60-90% depending on the efficency of the SLI scaling so I'd assume they'd run a little cooler each compared to 1 card running flat out.

Aye, along with the moh beta, i downloaded a demo for a game called sniper ghost warrior, (bit rubbish), only utilised one gpu as well. But, sli has matured very well, ive had 6800gts, 7900 gt's, 8800gts 640's and 8800gts 512's in the past on sli, all theese were a bit hit and miss, the 275's have been excelent, and pretty cheap.

Im not a fan of storm at all but salvage is superb when you learn all the shooting points properly. You can either camp on it or run around like a mentalist and do well with either gamestyle, which is contrary to maps like crash which heavily promote camping.

New map pack is available to preorder if anyones interested, you get it for £9.89 not £10.99 :p I fell for that last time and on release day they had it priced at £9.99 so I saved 10p, con artists!

Ran into a very odd mod earlier...
you changed team every round, one had guns, the other could only knive. One had thermal and the other was odd :S

For some reason Modern Warfare 2 has felt the need to update by a whopping 11GB!

Thankfully caught it in time to avoid any nasty bandwidth exceedence incidents so just giving you all a heads up in case you get caught.

Why would any game need an 11GB update though

This happens on steam now and again :( small patches sometimes seem to throw steam in a wobbly thinking the whole game needs redownloading.

With the Resurgence map pack am I limited to playing it on random game mode without being able to play the normal maps in the loop?

They will add the Resurgance maps into other game mode map rotations later on i think. But yeah you are only limited to random game mode atm.
