That's misleading. For example, I voted in the poll that I have the antenna issue because I do get a reduced signal when I cover that part of the phone. The fact is that I don't hold it there and I get a better signal now than ever before *shrug*

I appreciate what you are getting at, but this ridiculous defending of Apple needs knocking on the head.

They've made a mistake, in the fault itself and from a PR perspective. Lets hope they sort it out.

That changes nothing for a huge amount of people.

LOL!

My phone has been ok, much better reception than my HTC legend. But at the end of the day, despite the amazing hardware, it's still an iPhone.
I'm really missing the Android OS in terms of widgets and notifications. Friend Stream and the weather widgets along with others such as news and aura were a very fast method of content consumption.
I certainly don't miss the actual hardware though, the screen was hard to use and the battery life was poor. Lets hope someone gets Froyo running on iP4 :) :)

I get the signal drop but I have not managed to get a dropped call, but it does affect the internet speed.

Didn't even realise a 'G' was a measurement of data.

No, and you know full well i mean speed. You also know that it will take you a lot longer to get to 500G on edge than you are on 3G. And when on edge you are less likely to go on sites like YouTube, photo heavy sites etc. Because it will take you about 30 minutes before will be loaded.

You know all that...I didn't need to explain it. You also know I didn't mean you will never hit 500G (I manage to hit 70mb a day on edge in 24 hours), but hell it was slow.

This is 2010, a top end smart phone, it shouldn't drop to edge because i pick it up. No one should accept that, nobody.

I think he just meant it should be 500Mb not G, so therefore he knew 'full well' that it was about data usage rather than speed.

One positive comment I will add about the antenna, when on a desk / being held deliberately not near the bottom left, it gets better 3G reception than my 3GS. There's been times when the 3GS has dropped back to a max EDGE signal but the iPhone 4 is using a weak 3G signal (which is faster).

ah so Apple are actually helping iPhone users deal with those stupidly low data caps by crippling ur 3G signal with their antenna design.

damn Apple are always thinking of the user arnt they! =P

I seem to be having a battery issue with my phone, i've turned off all notifications, turned off push, closed all background applications and even while in sleep the battery drains unusually fast. I went to sleep last night and it was at about 65%, i woke up this morning and it was at 10%. My 3G would last for days in sleep mode, and the 4 seems to struggle to last a day with little usage.

The only thing i can seem to nail it down to other than a faulty battery is whenever it's in sleep mode it doesn't seem to disconnect from the WiFi. My 3G would disconnect from the WiFi within a few mins if it went into sleep mode, but my 4 seems to be constantly connected whenever im in range and this could be a reason it's killing the battery.

Has anyone else encountered this or do i need to take a trip down to the apple store?
