How much do you spend on a night out ?

Depends, local. Drinks before we go out or local pub - a cheap night out.

Edinburgh, anywhere from £60 - £150. £60 is a cheap night out.

I have mastered the art of the 'Oh no, i've left my wallet at home' so normally i have £20 which i spend on the following -

£3 for 1 beer
£5 for the taxi home

I normally come back with about £30-35 due to people giving me money to buy drinks and then keeping the change ;)

I take £60 to start with, but the more drunk i get the more rich i feel so i take more money out and start buying me and my mates jagerbombs and such.

Then i wake up and regret it.

Back in my younger days I could easily do 100-200 on drink, entrance fees and taxis and other "things", now its more like 40, unless having a meal about 60.

On a proper night out it would be around £100

Over here in Prague I rarely go out on a night out but on the times I do it would be the equivalent of around £50

Just pub/bar:

Travel: £0 (Oyster card and last tube/night bus as required)
Drinks: £20-£30

Club:

Travel: £0 (Oyster card and last tube/night bus as required)
Entry: £0-£15
Drinks: £20-£30

I live close to the city so I usually walk to and from, saves a lot of money!
If I'm going out dancing (ie. a bar and a club) I spend around £40-50 but if it's just a visit to the pub it's most likely closer to £20.
I fail to see how on earth people can spend over £50, I've usually had enough alcohol by the 5th drink:p.

Nowa days I would not dream of taking anything less than £100. Mind you thats for a porper blow out with a meal and taxi home.

Depends what kind of night

Night out with drinking buddys, £30-40
We'll start off at a wetherspoons then stick to places like revs and walkabout, cheap drinks, good music, hot girls. At the end of the night we'll take the 3 mile walk over a taxi. Maybe get a kebab or something.
If we move on to an early morning club it'll be more like £60

Night out with student buddies - £20-25
£1 a drink nights, have a load of them, get a kebab, beers for the walk home as well

Night out with work buddies from tescos -- £40-50
Drink before going into town, straight into some rubbish overpriced club, pay extortionate amounts for drinks, the musics alright but the people are boring and pretentious. They won't let me walk home alone so insist I chip in for a taxi I don't even want. It's alright but not brilliant.

Night with other work buddies - £60- 70
Complete wreckheads, we'll start at a normal pub, taxi into old town and end up on a pub crawl. Probably get a curry after.

Most i've ever spent is about £230 but I was buying a lot of people drinks that night.
None of my figures factor in tobacco, in an effort to cut down on my drinking budget I had to work out how much on average it was costing me for drinking but my smoking varies a lot.

£lots....I miss Plymouth where £20 was a lot to spend
I was shocked the first time I went out in plymouth, it's redonkulously cheap! I think that sealed the deal for me going uni there :D

How long do you go in a club without a drink at all? Or do you get water?

Clubs are normally pretty hot so to get people to drink more.

I never used to spend that much but the last couple of months everywhere just seems to have got that bit more expensive and bars/clubs seem even better these days at leaching the extra pounds of you. Like a lot of places are at least £2.50 for a single shot of sambuca.

I don't get thirsty really, might have a few sips of a mates drink or water.

Probably because I don't really go on the dance floor, the rest of the club isn't that hot.

if going to london which is only an hour away between 150-200 and thats just drinks, entry and transport....

if local between 50-100 for drinks transport and entry

Just out of curiousity, why go into a club if you aren't gonna dance or drink?
It's not like you can have a decent conversation inside a busy club.

The girl who comes round with a tray of jagerbombs in walkabout is my downfall. She's so hot, I haven't been to walkabout and bought less than 5 jagerbombs before, and I'm talking once a week for a few years now.

Entry/Ticket for venue - £5-20
Pre drink - £5-10
Petrol/Train- £10
Drinks/Herb - £10-20
Minimum is £20 to go out to Bristol or something, and not really drink. Saturday was a cheap one in London though, £30 all in! (I did have a free bottle of wine from work, though...)
I tend not to drink as much in the club as I only go out to places with DJs I really want to see, and as such end up glued to the dancefloor :p

If its just me i would say anywhere between £50 - £100, dont ask me where that lot goes to because i honestly couldnt say.

If i am out with the wife i would say that i spend about £100, more if we have a nice meal.

Usually about £40 on an average evening out. I never go to clubs because around here they're packed, full of druggies and chavs and they're expensive. That, and there's a pub right over the road from my house so that leaves the contents of my wallet free to spend on booze, no taxi to pay for. :D

round here drinks are very expensive, not quite london levels but costly none the less, around £3.50 odd for a pint, £5.50 odd for a redbull and vodka as such I tend not to go to pubs that much and normally me and my mates just get together at each others houses etc, when I do go out though i normally spend about £40
