How much do you spend on a night out ?

I have mastered the art of the 'Oh no, i've left my wallet at home' so normally i have £20 which i spend on the following -

£3 for 1 beer
£5 for the taxi home

I normally come back with about £30-35 due to people giving me money to buy drinks and then keeping the change ;)

you have mastered the art of scrounging thief

Go out about once a month, usually for birthdays.

£50-£100 (including transport and food) for a night out in central London.

I don't consider a trip to your local as a night out.

If I'm not gigging in my own band, me and Mrs Poole will go out to watch another local band and whatever 4 halfs of Lager (for her), 1 bottle of Newcastle Brown & pint of diet coke (for me) costs then that is all we spend.
What's that, about £10?

I have stopped going out all together now. Or carry cash with me to limit spending. I easily spend £100 without thinking too much.

I hate how at the end of it there is nothing to show.. urinated away :(

around £20-30, its relatively cheap round here and it doesn't take me to much to get merry, which is never a bad thing :)

Depends on location really.
If i do Bradford (very rare) usually take about £50 and thats only because i dont drink so much when im in Bradford.
If i go to leeds usually between £90 and £120 depending how long im out and what im drinking. Just to point out its only on a rare occasion i go to leeds.
And if i do my usual haunt of Halifax i spend somewhere in the region of £10 - £20,
£2 bus up.
Free entry with flyer
75p any drink from half 9 till 11 (its a dive but its a laugh)
So im usually rather drunk before 11 and spend the rest of the night just topping myself up if i need to. All in all i wake up not regretting my empty wallet =D

I spent £35 on my last night out including a feast of spicy chicken and chips from the local takeaway dive for me and my gf.

I very rarely go out for a session drinking nowadays, I've been clubbing once this year for about an hour.

Used to spend about £30 on a night out, including a fiver in taxi share. A rock nightclub in Hull used to do drinks dirt cheap and so never ended up spending a lot. Like £1.50 for a drink with two shots of something in it or 70p a shot.

My cost hugely varies depending on what we do (IE how late we stay out and what club we go to), but here are my break down as follows

Travel - £5 Max (tube & night bus back)
Entry Fees - Free - £20 hugely depends on what club I am going to and how late I get there
Drinks - Nothing :D I usually sit on a promoter's table who usually have bottles of premium vodka's, champagne and juices on the table that i can help myself to
Late night eats - £10 - £70 - this is where i spend most of my money on a night out, me and my GF may go to either McDonalds or a restaurant in Chinatown round the corner from the clubbing spots

So i can spend anything from £20 to £100 dependent on how the night goes

mates birthday this weekend been out since thursday > 6 o clock today with about 7 hours sleep whole weekend!! spent around £400

one of the best weekends of my life! so glad i got 3 days off work now to recover!

£2 for the bus fare.

Don't drink, don't go to places where you have to pay for entry.

Tbh I don't bother going out very much at all.

It's obvious that quite a few students have posted in this thread :p
As for me, it can be anything from £20 to a few hundred quid, generally about £100 for a reasonably biggish night out; the joys of going out in London.

Last big one was on Wednesday, out in London Bridge.
Probably spend £50 in the first bit of the night, two £25 rounds.
Then a few quid getting in to a late bar.
A jug of cocktails at £15ish.
£5 for a kebab at the end and then split a taxi bill to get home, of which my share was £20.

That's probably pretty typical really.

I guess it depends what day of the week you go out as well, i still go to student places so it's quite cheap, but on a saturday / friday prices rise a great deal. Just wondering how much you guys generally spend going out, either at a club / bar / pub.

Location is important too...

Taxi home for me can be £25
round of drinks for say me + 4 friends = £20 - £30 depending on if the round is just beers or other drinks are asked for...

Entry to a club... £10 or £20 if going early or in mixed group - a lot more if going later just with a group of blokes as door monkeys refuse entry unless you pay for a table...

Can end up spending £50 just having a quiet few drinks after work tbh... going clubbing etc.. and its more like £100 - £200.

Can have a cheap night for about £10/15 if you pre drink and don't buy any out, whilst a big night (sports socials etc.) are probably £40/50, start much earlier and no pre drinking = sad bank account :(

Probably £20-30 in my area, though don't go out often at all, would much rather have a few friends over for drinks at my place. Did get my eyes opened whilst on a stag do in Dublin, where double spirits + mixer were £12 and pints were £5.50, it just made me not want to drink. I like a cheap night out.

On a cheapo night:
Pre drink at a mates somewhere
£2 train in
£0 free student entry usually (Up to £5, usually ~£3 though)
up to ~£20 on £1 drinks
£3 a head taxi home
so £20-30

Ive been able to spend £40-60 on more expensive nights and on some heavy student nights :o. I've cut down my drinking a bit in clubs now and just get a bit more drunk beforehand, that way I tend not to get memory loss and stick to single (£1 :D) vodkas in clubs.

Edit: Holy jesus london is expensive. £20 for a SHARE of a taxi!?!?

Its near impossible to spend less than £100 unless your a cheap booring fat idiot, like the majority on this thread!

Yea because going to the pub with friends isnt a night out unless you are 50+
