Saw this on Josystiq. It seems that in the EU they are launching a new line much like the platinum games but it'll be for remastered PS2 and possibly 1 games which so far only include God of War 1&2 and the announced Sly Cooper Collection. A Sony rep claimed that anything in the Classics HD games will be any non PS3 game adapted to be in HD with Trophy support.

Seems silly to launch a new "line" unless they are planning a few more titles. Anything you'd like to see?

Brilliant idea as there are a lot of PS2 games I missed out on. I can't understand why they're not releasing them over PSN though.

So far it only seems to be Sony 1st/2nd-party owned IP's. So then Team Ico's Ico and Shadow of the Collossus is probably the most obvious and requested.

Otherwise for 3rd-party developer titles, Konami's Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance and 3: Subsistence (MGS1 is already on PSOne Classics) and Capcom's Devil May Cry 1-3 trilogy.

At a guess it'd be file size. Anything over 5-6GB is still too restrictive for too many people stuck on 3-4mb broadband. To get them out to the masses a disk is the best way to go.

Although sony said a while back they wasn't going to be adding any more full size retail games on the store I think recently they back tracked on that statement, also the full game trails that are going to be offered with PSN+ is a good indication that they are going to start putting up more full retail games on the store.

Ico + Sotc, they were utterly stunning games but were far too demanding for the PS2 so had to be run at an incredibly low res with heaps of aliasing (especially in the case of Sotc). An upgrade to 720p would be stunning.

Gran Turismo 1 through 4, Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 and definitely GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas although all of the games I've just mentioned will probably never, ever be released into the Classics HD line.

Except for MGS, that would be my dream list for them to do. They wouldn't even need to update the graphics of GTA, just let me buy it on the PSN as is.

MGS 3 and i'll die.

I'd also want hardware online arena back. I loved that game, spent far too many hours on it.

It has been rumoured for a long time, but Mortal Kombat 1-3 original trilogy in HD is a definate purchase when that is out!

If it would have online play as well (One that is not broken!), then it's a huge bonus and truely is a must have. Of course, this would practically make the XBLA and PSN versions of some of the original games redundant.
