At £129.99!!

Not sure if we are supposed to mention the website where the price has been revealed as it may be a competitor so I'll leave that for you guys to find. At that price there is no way I'm buying it. I wasn't too interested even before they announced the price but at £80-ish I would have been tempted if there was decent software support.

Aren't the arcades cheaper than that? I don't understand how they can price it more than the console.

Then again, you only need one of these for MP games.

That's insane ...
Not sure I would have bought it anyway, though
Sounds like the kind of thing I play for a week and then leave to rot in some shelf

Obscenely priced, you could probably pick up a 2nd hand PS3 on the MM for that money.
You can get 2 Move controllers and the camera for about £85 if you shop around, even if Kinect does turn out to be better than move, I doubt it'll be '£50 better'.

I also find it questionable that the adverts for the new slim 360 are touting it as 'Kinect Ready'.
A well meaning parent may think that means it's got Kinect built in, which is a very costly mistake to make.

It's not official yet. That's a 'guess' from the web site.

Maybe this is all a deliberate ploy to make everyone think it's going to be really expensive, then when they announce that it's 'only' going to be £100, people won't think of it as costly as they would have?

Well, it's 5 months from launch and I think there's a lot of internal discussion still taking place. I've also read that many third parties like Activision are applying a lot of pressure to keep the price low.

For the record I think £129.99 is suicide and also way off.

Question is will the arcade 360 as we know it now still be around at the time of launch? I wont be buying it regardless of the cost but £130 is far too much money. Even worse is given that current 360 consoles are not Kinect ready and you need an adaptor will it come shipped with Kinect or will that also be more money?

and how do you play Kinect games with Move.........

why do you compare prices with different hardware on different systems, after all, if your buying Kinect its to play whats available on 360. not because it may or may not have a different price point to Move.
