The most up lifting song of all time?

Devine comedy-national express

It always puts a smile on me face :D

Agree there! :D Along with Absent Friends!

"Steve McQueen, Jumped the first one clean, but that great escape he tried to make, was not to be, maybe next time Steve"....

Agree with Mr Brightside though, always a dancefloor filler.

Frost* - Hyperventilate

It Bites - Fahenheit

Liquid Tension Experiment- Kindred Spirits

Try it, you might like it!

I'll concede that I have a massively vested interest in hating that song, as I'm a Christian and the song is absurd in terms of the Christian mythos. Moreover, people refer to it as a hymn when it is anything but and want to sing it at weddings. Argh.

In terms of music and the general lyrical "build" of it, it's very good, I'll give you that. I'll meet you halfway and agree that it's stirring rubbish.

I see the angle you're coming from now :p. I would never have had it at my wedding, that's for sure, but for me stirring in this case is a good thing as it meets the requirements for a National Anthem, i.e. uplifting and rousing. There are plenty more rabble-rousing and even inflammatory national anthems (hello EIRE :D).

Without a doubt for me, it's this:

Nothing moves me to happiness more than listening to this. The most beautiful thing mankind has ever produced!

A great gem one of my all time favorites.
