*** Steam Summer Sale - Selection of games upto 85% off ***

Yes, left for dead is a really great game. One of the best and loads of people playing. You'd be hard pushed to find a game of that price with such popularity.

It's very much the same as left for dead one, except all new campaigns and new toys to play with, giving it more diversity. The game is fun to play no matter how many times you play it, its different every time. :)

ditto I was hoping the Witcher would be on deal again

owell I can wait I guess :)

I still keep thinking of grabbing the monkey island pack. But I have to say i'm not I will play it right away. I can prob wait until its next on sale.

Still some nice offers over the week not a bad sale imo :)

Ah, I have most of those games. So I caved in and brough the THQ pack. I have most of what's in there, but I mainly brought it for Metro and Chaos Rising, although Company of Heroes shall be good for a rainy day.

I really recommend Red Faction Guerrilla. Multiplayer is a bit dead, but the singleplayer is awesome fun. Nothing like destroying the supports for a tower only to watch it topple into another building and cause mass destruction.

Is L4D2 worth the price? I've not played any of the L4D games, and L4D2 seems the best place to start considering, well, it's the sequel so I'm guessing it has a bigger playerbase than the original.

Wondering this also.
Have the first myself

Having clocked nearly 300 hours on both L4D1 and L4D2 I would definitely say they are worth it but you really need to play with friends to get the most out of the experience as playing public matches can be a right pain. Also, if possible, make sure to get a microphone.

If you need friends fast then take a look at the OcUK Steam Users List in my sig :)

L4D2 is definitely worth it, it got a lot of stick for being too similar to L4D1 which was totally ridiculous IMO, very very worth it at £6.

I thought it was a top seller too?

Well from what i've read of The Witcher Steam forums it was around £4.80 so it was certainly a top seller. It then went up to it's current price of £8.70 a few days into the sale. A day later the Atari advert was changed from "All games 66% off" to "upto 66% off all games" with the Witcher the only game that wasn't at 66% off. Which is arguably the best games in the Atari section.

Due to the way the Steam sale works i was waiting until today to buy The Witcher, but with the increase in price i'll wait. Bought too much other stuff. :)

hmm. Might grab L4D2 seeing as I missed it earlier in the week.

How does it compare with Killing floor? Got that earlier this week but it seems a bit bland to play and look at.

If your new to L4D then get it, tis an amazing game. But after putting 10+ hours into the first i havn't touched the second no more than 20 hours, too much of an expansion pack for me.

Swap....I have spend £103 after i buy mass effect 2 (Am at £85 so far)

The question should be. Why haven't you got that game already? :o
