I'm currently looking at buying Kingston PC2-6400U-666 1GB 1Rx8 800MHz electrobyt DDR2 Memory.

Now the problem is, I don't usually see the 'u' on ram so I don't know what that means. Secondly what is with the '1Rx8' and thirdly 'electobyt'? Lastly what does the '666' represent as it actually runs at 800mhz? I've never come accross those when it came to upgrading my dimension 8400.

Thanks guys

electrobyt is the brand (doesn't seem to be kingston)
666 are the timings (look up RAM timings on wiki if you want some boring info)
U means unbuffered (non-ECC - normal desktop RAM)
1Rx8 I'm not sure about but I don't think it's particularly important.

Thanks very much, Redmint!
